I’ll be honest – when I first walked into My City Hotel, I wasn’t expecting much from a four-star place, but this spot actually surprised me in the best way. The lobby has this warm, lived-in feel that’s way more welcoming than those sterile chain hotels you usually encounter. You know what struck me first? The staff genuinely seemed happy to be there, which honestly makes such a difference when you’re dragging luggage around after a long travel day.

The rooms are what I’d call thoughtfully designed – nothing flashy, but everything works exactly like it should. I mean, the shower has proper water pressure (you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong), and the beds are actually comfortable, not just Instagram-pretty. The soundproofing is solid too, which matters more than people realize until they’re trying to sleep next to a busy street. What really got me was the little touches – decent hangers instead of those flimsy wire things, outlets where you actually need them, and lighting that doesn’t make you look like you’re recovering from something serious. The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work; towels were fluffy and the bathroom actually sparkled.

Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of things without being overwhelmed by tourist chaos. I spent a good chunk of time just wandering the neighborhood, and there’s this great mix of local spots and visitor-friendly places within easy walking distance. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours – I learned that the hard way – but the front desk folks have some insider tips that’ll save you time circling the block. The whole area comes alive in the evenings, but it’s not the kind of noise that keeps you up all night. Honestly, with an 8.9 rating, this place has clearly figured out how to balance being centrally located with actually letting guests get some rest. It’s the kind of hotel where you end up staying longer than planned because everything just… works. No drama, no unpleasant surprises, just solid hospitality that feels authentic rather than scripted.

  Super room and no noise whatsoever from inside or outside the hotel.
  
  What could be improved: It would be really nice if they had a bar. They do have a very nice little restaurant where you can collect a drink but the tables are all ready for diners.

  Our stay at My City Hotel has been great. The hotel is situated literally just 5 steps away from the old town so it is very convenient to move around. No need for public transport, everything is in walking distance. The room was really good and clean and had pretty much everything we needed (but some complimentary water bottles would be appreciated in the room). Breakfast was sufficient, there were several options and was tasty. Staff have been nice. We are very happy with our option.

  The hotel was in a fabulous location for all amenities, the old town was very nice just what we expected it to be.
  We booked a superior room which was great it had everything we needed.
  Breakfast had a great choice of food although the hot food could have been a little more warmer but this didn’t disappoint us.
  The evening restaurant is very good the food is great with a varied menu.

  Nice, clean, and quiet hotel with an excellent location. The hotel restaurant was lovely, the tasting menu was well put together, and the service was very helpful. The breakfast was good and varied.
