It’s one of those finds that makes you feel a bit smug about your booking skills. You know how Tallinn’s Old Town can feel touristy and overwhelming – well, this spot sits just outside all that chaos but close enough that you can walk to Toompea Hill in about ten minutes without breaking a sweat.

The apartment itself has this lived-in elegance that you don’t get in cookie-cutter hotels. I mean, it actually feels like someone’s home rather than a sterile box with generic art on the walls. The fifth-floor location means you’re getting some decent views over the rooftops (though you’ll need to haul your luggage up – just so you know). What really got me was how quiet it stays at night, which is saying something since you’re still in the city center. The windows are proper thick, and A. Lauteri isn’t one of those streets where drunk tourists stumble around at 3 AM singing karaoke classics.

The whole area around there is where locals actually live and work – you’ve got that authentic neighborhood vibe without sacrificing convenience. There’s a small grocery store literally around the corner where the cashier will nod at you by day three, and this little café about two blocks down that does phenomenal coffee and pastries (way better than the tourist traps near Town Hall Square, trust me). The tram stop is close enough that getting to other parts of Tallinn is genuinely easy, but far enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise. I actually loved walking back in the evenings – the street has these beautiful old buildings with character, not the reconstructed medieval stuff that can feel a bit Disney-esque. The 9.5 rating makes total sense when you experience it – it’s one of those places where everything just works without trying too hard to impress you. Sometimes the best accommodations are the ones that feel effortless, you know?

  Die Wohnung ist so liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, dass man sich sofort zuhause fühlt. Man könnte hier Wochen verbleiben und richtig wohnen, weil die Wohnung sehr geräumig ist, über alles Notwendige und über Platz und Stauraum ohne Ende verfügt. Die Parkplatzfläche im Innenhof ist natürlich ideal für Reisende mit dem Auto, aber auch um – wie wir- die Fahrräder zu parken und die Stadt zu erkunden. Die Altstadt ist ohnehin fußläufig erreichbar.
