Rixwell Collection Savoy Boutique Hotel
You know what caught me off guard about the Rixwell Collection Savoy Boutique Hotel?
You know what caught me off guard about the Rixwell Collection Savoy Boutique Hotel? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to the “boutique” part of its name without trying too hard. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about every detail – not in an over-designed way, but more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste.
The rooms themselves are what I’d call sophisticated without being stuffy. The beds are honestly some of the most comfortable I’ve encountered in a 4-star property, and I’m someone who’s pretty picky about mattresses. What I really appreciated was the lighting – you know how most hotels either leave you squinting or fumbling around in cave-like darkness? Well, they’ve actually figured out that sweet spot where you can read comfortably but still create that cozy evening atmosphere. The bathrooms deserve a mention too – spacious enough that you’re not doing some weird contortionist routine just to brush your teeth, and the water pressure is solid (always a gamble, honestly).
Here’s the thing about this place that really won me over: the staff seems to genuinely know their stuff. During check-in, the desk manager gave me these super specific recommendations about restaurants that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps – places where locals actually eat. And when I mentioned I was dealing with some jet lag, they didn’t just nod politely but actually suggested the best times to grab coffee from their lobby area when it’s quiet. Speaking of which, the coffee situation is surprisingly good for a hotel – not that bitter, burnt stuff you usually get. The 8.7 rating makes total sense when you add up all these little touches that show they’re paying attention. It’s not flashy or trying to be the coolest place in town, but there’s something really satisfying about staying somewhere that just… works well, you know? The kind of place where you can actually relax instead of constantly working around weird quirks or service issues.

nice hotel at great location location and friendly staff
Great location and comfy bed, what more do you need! We stayed in a classic double room and it was perfect. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable and the shower was one of the best hotel showers I’ve experienced! The location was ideal, just a few minutes walk into the heart of the Old Town and therefore very close to the bars and restaurants as well. We had drinks in the hotel bar on our second evening and the cocktails were delicious and very well priced! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. All in all, our stay was faultless.
Wonderful Nice hotel in oldtown, close to bus stop from airport, great location to walk all the sights in oldtown and all the bars and restaurants. Staff are friendly and welcoming, great breakfast, comfortable and clean room, would stay again.
