Viimsi Spa & Waterpark Overview

You know what caught me off guard about Viimsi Spa & Waterpark? I expected just another family water park with screaming kids and chlorine overload, but this place actually has some serious sophistication to it. Located out in Viimsi – which honestly feels like Estonia’s answer to a quiet seaside suburb – it’s the kind of spot where locals from Tallinn drive out for proper weekend relaxation, not just a quick splash around.

The waterpark side is obviously the main draw, and I mean, it delivers. The slides are proper fun without being terrifying, and there’s this lazy river that actually lives up to its name – I spent way too long just floating around with a book getting progressively more wrinkled. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize until they get there: the spa facilities are genuinely impressive. The saunas have that perfect Baltic attention to detail (you know how serious Estonians are about their saunas), and the treatment rooms feel more like a proper wellness retreat than your typical hotel spa tacked on as an afterthought.

What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed the crowds – even during Estonian school holidays when you’d expect chaos, there are enough quiet corners and adult-only zones that you can actually unwind. The hotel rooms are solid 4-star territory, nothing groundbreaking but clean and comfortable with decent soundproofing, which matters when you’re literally above a waterpark. Parking’s straightforward and free, which saves you the headache of figuring out Estonian parking apps. The breakfast buffet leans heavily into local stuff – proper Estonian black bread, local fish, that sort of thing – alongside the usual international hotel fare. I’d honestly recommend this place for families who want more than just a splash-and-dash experience, or couples looking for a different kind of spa weekend that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Just don’t expect to walk to restaurants – you’re committed to the hotel dining or a short drive back toward town.

  • Lovely. Great experience overall, will definitely visit again. – Andrejs from Latvia (9/10)

The room was spotlessly clean, the spa and waterpark was fun and the breakfast had a nice variation of edibles.

  • I would visit only the spa not the hotel. – Ammari from Finland (7/10)

The spa was super nice but over crowded.
The saunas and facilities were good and maintained.
Breakfast was good and different each day.

    recepsen staff

  • Good place for a family to enjoy spa zone. – Anita from Latvia (8/10)

Good room with a view and access to a SPA center. I likes a breakfast too, they had an ice cream!

  • Very Good – Elar from Estonia (8/10)

    Almost all good

  • A very comfortable hotel – Agata from Poland (9/10)

A big room with very comfortable bed, lots of space for clothes. There was complimentary water, tea/coffee kit and a minibar that I could use as personal refrigerator. The shower was very spacious, there were lots of cosmetics and some other basics. A nice touch: slippers and a bathrobe (and lots of towels, of course).
The free spa was nice – very good size of the swimming pool for a hotel, the leisure pools/sauna space was OK, quite crowded and only 3 jacuzzis seem like not enough for the demand, but the massage pool was very nice. I did not visit any saunas, as my lungs don't like the experience, so I cannot tell the quality, but there are a lot of choices available.
Lots of food choices for breakfast, both hot and cold.
There is a very nice english pub in the same building, so a good dining option available (reservation is needed if you want to go later than mid-afternoon). Also, two shopping centres are a short walking distance away.

  • Recomended for one day at the SPA – Riccardo from Italy (8/10)

A good accommodation with a great SPA

  • Wonderful – Joonah from Finland (9/10)

    Sauna, breakfast, peace
