The ceilings have these beautiful exposed beams, but the Wi-Fi actually works and the shower has proper water pressure – small victories when you’re traveling for work like I often am. I particularly appreciate the kitchen setup because eating out every meal in Tallinn can get expensive, and sometimes you just want to make coffee your way, you know? The bed is genuinely comfortable too, which matters more than people think when you’re dealing with jet lag. One thing to note though – the building is old, so you’ll hear some creaking and the occasional footsteps from upstairs, but it’s never been disruptive. Actually adds to the character if you ask me.

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to the rhythm of the old town. Early mornings are magical when the tour groups haven’t arrived yet – just locals heading to work and the street cats doing their thing. By evening, especially in summer, there’s this gentle buzz of conversation drifting up from the restaurant patios below. The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not luxury hotel perfect, it’s got soul and personality that most chain places completely miss. Plus, the hosts clearly know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth both times, and they left detailed notes about everything from the quirky door lock to where to find the best spätzle in town. If you’re the type who wants to actually experience Tallinn rather than just pass through it, this apartment puts you right in the middle of everything that matters.
