The apartment itself is what I’d call “exactly what it says on the tin” – two proper bedrooms, which actually means you and your travel companions won’t be stepping over each other’s suitcases. The kitchen’s got everything you need if you want to cook, and honestly, given how expensive restaurant meals can get in Tallinn’s Old Town, having that option is clutch. The living space feels lived-in rather than sterile – you know how some vacation rentals feel like showrooms? This isn’t that. There are actual books on the shelves and the couch looks like you can sink into it after a day of wandering the cobblestones. The windows face different directions, so you get decent light throughout the day, and I loved that you could see glimpses of the medieval towers if you crane your neck just right from the main bedroom.

Location-wise, this place is sort of perfectly positioned for the way I like to explore cities. You’re close enough to walk to Toompea Castle and Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in about ten minutes (uphill, fair warning), but you’re also right there when you want to duck into the newer part of town for groceries or just to feel like you’re where actual Tallinn residents live. The tram stop nearby connects you to basically everywhere else you’d want to go – Kadriorg Palace, the beach at Pirita, whatever. Parking can be tricky in this neighborhood, but if you’re smart about public transport, you won’t miss having a car. What really sold me was coming back in the evening after dinner and feeling like I was returning to an actual neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble. You’ll hear residents chatting in the courtyard, smell someone’s dinner cooking – it’s that authentic slice of Estonian life that makes a trip memorable rather than just another stamp in your passport.
