First Impressions
Walking up to Rotermann Urban Art City Escape feels like discovering something special that most tourists haven’t figured out yet. This four-star property sits right in the Rotermanni Quarter — honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Tallinn. The building itself is part of this beautifully restored industrial complex that’s been transformed into one of the city’s coolest neighborhoods, and you can feel that creative energy the moment you step inside. The attention to architectural detail throughout the property reflects the care taken in its restoration.
Location & Neighborhood
I mean, when a place gets a perfect 10.0 for location, there’s usually a good reason. You’re literally in the heart of everything — Old Town’s medieval charm is just a few minutes’ walk away, but you’re also surrounded by trendy galleries, design shops, and some of Tallinn’s best cafes. What I love about this area is how it bridges the gap between the tourist-heavy Old Town and the more local parts of the city. You get the best of both worlds without feeling like you’re stuck in a tourist bubble. The neighborhood truly offers something for every traveler.
The Room Experience
The room design really captures that “urban art” vibe they’re going for — think modern comfort meets industrial chic. The spaces feel thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, with local artwork and design elements that actually mean something. You know what impressed me most? The attention to detail in the furnishings and how everything feels curated rather than just purchased from a hotel supply catalog. The windows offer great views of either the quarter’s courtyards or the city beyond, depending on which room you get. Each space tells its own story through carefully selected decor.
Practical Perks
Here’s something that’ll save you headaches — they have private parking right on site, which is honestly a godsend in Tallinn’s city center. Most places either don’t have it or charge ridiculous amounts for it. The staff genuinely knows the area well and can point you toward spots that aren’t in every guidebook. I also appreciated how they handle the whole urban art theme without being gimmicky about it — it feels authentic rather than forced. The convenience of on-site parking combined with knowledgeable staff makes a real difference.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.8 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen — couples especially seem to connect with this place, and I can see why. There’s something romantic about staying somewhere that feels like a local secret while still being incredibly comfortable and well-located. The Rotermanni Quarter has this evening atmosphere that’s perfect for wandering around after dinner, and you’re close enough to everything that you can easily explore different parts of Tallinn without feeling rushed. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in your hotel rather than just crash there at night. The property successfully balances urban sophistication with genuine local character.

One-Bedroom Apartment

A litte gem in Rotermanni district This apartment is a well accomplished combination of old (the building itself) and new (recently renovated, nicely furnished rooms). You will find everything you might need for a short or long stay: useful amenities like a dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/drying rack and WIFI as well as a coffee maker. A very useful feature is the dressing room which has plenty of shelves and space for luggage and other items. The potted plants have to be mentioned as well as they add a pleasant atmosphere to the rooms. Next door is an artisan bakery where people queue to buy freshly baked cinnamon and cardamom buns - the delicious smell wafts up the staircase sometimes, so you know where to go for breakfast. Highly recommended!
Rotermanni is a trendy district of Tallinn, located between the ferry terminals, old town gates and the central crossing Hobujaama: easy to reach yet astonishingly quiet.

Super everything in the best location Super comfortable, super stylish, excellent location, really friendly helpful hosts, very quiet, we could have stayed forever
Exceptional I had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The location was perfect—close to everything but tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful at night. The apartment itself was beautifully designed, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like home. The kitchen was fully equipped, which made cooking easy and enjoyable, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep. Check-in was seamless, and the host went above and beyond by sharing great local recommendations. Whether you’re staying for a few days or a few weeks, this apartment has everything you need. The wifi is also perfect for working from home! I would absolutely stay here again!
