I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Rävala Boulevard Apartment on Rävala pst, I wasn’t sure what to expect from an apartment-style place in the heart of Tallinn. But you know what? This spot completely changed my mind about how good a 4-star property can actually be. The location alone is pretty incredible – you’re literally steps away from everything that matters in the city center, and I mean everything. Walk five minutes in any direction and you’ll hit Old Town’s cobblestone streets, or the main shopping areas, or some of the best restaurants in Estonia.

What really struck me about this place (and honestly, this is coming from someone who’s stayed in way too many hotels across Europe) is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment comfort and hotel service. The space feels like you’re staying in a friend’s well-appointed flat rather than some sterile hotel room – there’s actually character here, which is refreshing. The building itself sits right on one of Tallinn’s main thoroughfares, but somehow the soundproofing is excellent. I was worried about street noise, especially during the summer when the city gets pretty lively, but I slept like a baby every night. The apartment setup means you get a proper kitchen if you want to grab some local ingredients from the market and cook something up, though honestly, with restaurants this close, I didn’t use it much.

Here’s the thing that really sets this place apart – and maybe it’s because I’ve become a bit of a Tallinn regular over the years – the staff actually knows the city. Not just the touristy stuff, but the real gems. They pointed me toward this little café about three blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and suggested the perfect timing for visiting Toompea Hill (early morning, trust me on this). The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s those small touches that add up. The check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually works properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and parking… well, it’s city center parking, so it’s a bit of a puzzle, but they give you solid options that won’t break the bank. I’d definitely come back here, and that’s saying something because I’m usually the type who likes to try different places. Sometimes you just find a spot that gets it right, you know?

  The accommodation was in a good location, close to everything. The apartment was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the Wi-Fi worked well.
  
  What could be improved: I had a very negative opinion of the host's attitude when I asked for extra toilet paper after 4 days. The answer I got was that 2 rolls of toilet paper are standard, the rest is up to the guest. The 2 "standard" rolls are not enough for 2 adults for 7 days. I have never experienced a host being so rigid and rudely dismissive. In Tallinn, the standard is probably not 7-day reservations, but 1-2 days. This small incident really ruined my opinion. There was no small trash can in the bathroom. In the mornings, a very unpleasant (stinky) smell spread through the living room, probably coming from one of the neighboring apartments, perhaps through the extractor hood.
