Each apartment really is unique (they’re not just saying that for marketing points). I stayed in what I think was apartment number three – this gorgeously restored space with original stone walls that probably saw more history than most museums. The thing that got me was how they managed to blend all that old-world character with actually functional modern amenities. The kitchenette was small but smart – perfect for making morning coffee or storing those Estonian craft beers you’ll inevitably buy too many of. And honestly, the Wi-Fi was better than my apartment back home, which says something. The bathroom was compact but thoughtfully designed, with this rainfall showerhead that felt pretty luxurious after long days wandering cobblestone streets.

What really sets this place apart is the location, though I suppose that’s obvious with an 8.9 rating. You’re maybe a two-minute walk from Town Hall Square, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with the worst of the tourist crowds right outside your window. Actually, the street noise wasn’t bad at all – these old buildings have thick walls, and the medieval layout means most of the party noise gets absorbed before it reaches you. I loved being able to duck into traditional Estonian restaurants or quirky little bars, then retreat to what felt like my own private medieval hideaway. The building itself has this wonderful worn elegance – you know, the kind where every creaky floorboard feels intentional rather than neglected. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, no hovering around a lobby waiting for keys. They give you proper independence while still being available when you need them, which honestly is exactly what you want when you’re trying to experience a city authentically rather than just pass through it.
