Panoramic Sea View -13th Floor Overview
Look, I’ll be straight with you – when I first saw Panoramic Sea View -13th Floor listed as a 3-star place, I honestly wasn’t expecting much. But stepping into apartment 61 on the 13th floor of this building on Tornimäe street completely changed my perspective. The view from up there is absolutely incredible, and I mean that – you’re looking out over Tallinn’s medieval rooftops toward the Baltic Sea, and on clear days you can see the ferries heading to Helsinki like little toys in the distance.
The apartment itself feels way more upscale than its star rating suggests. Everything’s modern and clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows that really make the most of that elevation. What I loved is how quiet it gets up there – you’re right in Tallinn’s city center (literally a five-minute walk to Town Hall Square), but you don’t hear the tourist crowds or the late-night bar scene from Viru street. The building’s got a proper elevator, which honestly was a relief after climbing medieval stairs at other places I’ve stayed in the Old Town. Actually, the whole setup feels more like borrowing a local friend’s stylish apartment than staying at a typical hotel.
Here’s what you should know practically speaking – parking can be tricky in this area since you’re in the heart of everything, but there’s a paid lot about two blocks away on Harju street that’s not too expensive. The check-in process was smooth, though you’ll want to coordinate arrival times since it’s apartment-style rather than a 24-hour front desk situation. I stayed there in early October and the heating worked perfectly (which matters in Estonia, trust me). The kitchen’s fully equipped if you want to grab groceries from the Rimi down the street, but honestly, with Rataskaevu 16 and other fantastic restaurants just a few minutes’ walk away, I barely used it. One tiny thing – the building entrance is a bit understated, so don’t expect a grand hotel lobby experience. But once you’re up there watching the sunset paint the sea golden while the Old Town’s church spires catch the last light below you, none of that matters. This place gets a 9 rating for good reason, and after spending three nights there, I completely understand why.
Hotel in Tallinn booking should be done early, especially during White Nights season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and technology events.
