One small thing – the building can be a bit echoey, so you might hear your neighbors occasionally, but it’s not terrible.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how perfectly positioned it is. You’re literally a five-minute walk to Viru Gate – I timed it – but you’re not dealing with the crowds and noise that come with staying right in the thick of Old Town. Mere puiestee is actually this nice tree-lined street that feels surprisingly peaceful for being so central. The tram stops right nearby too, which is clutch if you want to explore Kadriorg Park or hit up some of the neighborhoods further out. And here’s something the guidebooks don’t tell you: there’s this little Estonian bakery called Rukis just around the corner that does incredible black bread – the kind of place where babushkas line up in the morning. The whole setup just works, you know? It’s like having a local friend’s couch, except with that view and your own space. For the price point and that 8.5 rating, I get why people keep coming back to this spot.
