You know what struck me first about Luxury Moroccan?
You know what struck me first about Luxury Moroccan? The moment you walk through those carved wooden doors, there’s this incredible scent of orange blossom and cedar that just wraps around you – it’s like stepping into someone’s beautifully curated home rather than a typical hotel. I mean, with a 9.2 rating, I had high expectations, but honestly this place exceeded them in ways I wasn’t expecting.
The riad-style architecture is absolutely gorgeous, and I’m talking about the real deal here – not some watered-down interpretation you sometimes see. There’s this central courtyard with a fountain that actually works (you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and the tilework is just stunning. The rooms wrap around it on different levels, which creates this amazing sense of privacy even though you’re sharing the space with other guests. What really got me was the attention to detail – hand-painted ceilings, actual vintage Berber rugs, and these heavy wooden shutters that block out the morning light perfectly when you need to sleep in. The beds are incredibly comfortable too, which honestly can be hit or miss at boutique places like this.
The staff here actually knows what they’re doing, which makes such a difference. Check-in was smooth, they remembered my name throughout the stay, and when I mentioned I was interested in exploring the local markets, they didn’t just hand me a generic map – they sat down and walked me through which vendors to visit and when. Little things like that matter, you know? The breakfast situation is really well done too – fresh mint tea (properly brewed, not from a bag), warm bread, local honey, and these amazing pastries that change daily. They serve it in the courtyard when the weather’s nice, and there’s something magical about starting your day surrounded by all that intricate Islamic architecture. The only minor thing I’d mention is that some of the rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon since it’s an older building, but the evening breeze through those courtyards cools everything down beautifully. If you’re looking for an authentic Moroccan experience that doesn’t sacrifice comfort – and I mean genuine comfort, not just Instagram-pretty spaces – this place delivers in a way that feels both luxurious and real.

What Our Guests Say
What could be improved: Das Bad ist klein aber fein. 😉
perfect location.
What could be improved: The bed was extremely uncomfortable. My husband had to sleep on the couch.
The shower was not really usable.. the roof was so slanted so there was very little room. The water was flowing all over the place and unfortunately it was just too small of a space to take a shower unless you want a quick rinse and even then the water was all over the floors.
If the Luxury Moroccan is available, don’t hesitate! It is furnished with good taste. The location is perfect: in the heart of the old town, but in the quiet area. Not far from anything, yet nothing disturbing your good night’s sleep. The kitchen is well equipped. The apartment is very clean and well.maintained. The host was very nice, however we only communicated via messages and phone. Truly a gem!
