The apartment has this clean, Nordic aesthetic that actually feels livable – I mean, you can tell someone put real consideration into the layout and furnishings rather than just ordering everything from a hotel supply catalog. The kitchen is properly equipped (not just for show), which came in handy since the local markets are fantastic and honestly, Estonian restaurant prices can add up if you’re eating out every meal. The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense once you settle in – it’s those little details that matter, like having enough outlets where you actually need them and decent water pressure in the shower. Parking wasn’t a nightmare either, which anyone who’s driven in Old Town will appreciate.

But here’s the thing that really sets this place apart – the location is absolutely brilliant for exploring real Tallinn. You’re a proper walk from the medieval tourist crowds, but Kalamaja has become this vibrant creative hub with incredible coffee shops, vintage stores, and some of the city’s best restaurants tucked into converted warehouses and old wooden houses. I found myself taking morning walks down to the Seaplane Harbour (which is actually fascinating if you’re into maritime history) and evening strolls through Kalamaja Cemetery – sounds morbid, but it’s surprisingly peaceful and beautiful. The tram connections are solid too, so getting to Old Town or the city center takes maybe 15 minutes when you want that classic Tallinn experience. What I loved most was coming back each evening to a neighborhood that felt alive with locals rather than just other travelers taking the same Instagram photos. It’s the kind of place where you start to understand how people actually live in this city, not just the postcard version of it.

  What could be improved: You need second A/C block in a sleeping room, or get some convector heaters. I've been staying this area before, exactly same house type been using convector heater (about 1,5m long) and the room was warm in minutes.
