First Impressions
Walking up to Nunne Boutique Hotel, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked right into Tallinn’s medieval Old Town on a quiet cobblestone street that feels worlds away from tourist crowds. The building itself has this understated elegance that works perfectly with the historic surroundings, and honestly, the entrance gives you just enough of a boutique vibe without trying too hard. You know what I mean? It’s that sweet spot where modern comfort meets old-world charm, and the four-star rating feels spot-on from the moment you step inside.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying at Nunne Boutique Hotel — the location is absolutely unbeatable, and I’m not just saying that because of the 9.8 location score. You’re literally in the heart of Tallinn’s UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, which means you can walk to Toompea Castle, the Town Hall Square, and those incredible medieval walls in just a few minutes. What I love most is that Nunne street itself is actually pretty peaceful despite being so central — you get all the benefits of being right in the action without the constant noise. Couples especially seem to get this (they rated the location 9.8 for romantic trips), and I can see why — there’s something magical about stepping out your hotel door and being surrounded by 13th-century architecture.
The Rooms
The rooms strike this nice balance between boutique character and practical comfort that’s harder to find than you’d think. Each one feels thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, with details that actually matter — good lighting for reading, proper storage space, and windows that let in plenty of natural light (important during those shorter Baltic winter days). The bathrooms are modern and well-appointed, which is honestly a relief when you’re staying in a historic building where you sometimes have to choose between charm and functionality. I mean, you want the medieval atmosphere outside your room, not necessarily in your shower, right?
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast setup gives you options with both continental and buffet styles, which works well for different travel rhythms. Some mornings you want to grab something quick and get out exploring, other days you feel like lingering over a proper meal — and they’ve got both covered. The quality is solid without being overly fancy, and there’s usually a good mix of local Estonian touches alongside the international standards. What I appreciate is that they seem to understand their guests are likely heading out to explore the Old Town, so everything feels designed to fuel your day rather than keep you sitting around the hotel.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.3 overall rating really tells the story here — Nunne Boutique Hotel delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re visiting Tallinn. You’re staying somewhere with genuine character in one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval cities, but you’re not sacrificing modern comfort to get there. The location means you can experience the Old Town at different times of day — early morning when it’s quiet and atmospheric, or evening when the restaurants and bars come alive. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re really staying in Tallinn rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense.

What Our Guests Say
Exceptional Cozy bedroom and amazing breakfast. The hotel is very well located and it's in a quiet neighborhood. The staff in the reception is very helpful.
Lovely Old Town hotel The location in Old Town was perfect for exploring. It was neat and clean and friendly staff. Breakfast buffet had a good selection to choose from.
Loved it, recommend it Lovely spacious rooms in an attractive hotel in a great location to explore old Tallinn. Very good spa facilities. Complimentary drinks in room on arrival. Didn’t eat in the restaurant because of many dining options nearby; bakery across the street for breakfast pastries.
Fabulous boutique hotel in Tallinn old town. Great location. Great staff. Beautiful rooms and a very nice breakfast.
Luxury in the heart of Tallinn This property is gorgeous. The spa was superb. The beds very comfortable. The staff were always helpful. The location is perfect and I had a great stay. The workout room was also lovely!
Almost perfect - would stay again. The room was gorgeous (we got a nice view of the courtyard). The staff were excellent - very friendly, professional and helpful. Facilities were great - love an espresso machine 😍 The bed was incredibly comfortable.
Great stay all around Super nice staff. Very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Quiet location that is easily accessible to the square.
Fabulous Hotel in beautiful Tallinn. Front desk staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast had enough variety, was tasty and staff very efficient. Location of the Hotel was in the old town and was walking distance to almost everywhere. The Hotel exceeded our expectations.
Stunning City and location. Very central location, spotlessly clean and sympathetically restored and tasteful decor throughout.
Wonderful Great location. Incredibly friendly staff (a special mention to the front of house staff on duty during those days, especially the trainee, who's name I cannot remember but am very thankful for all advice on things to see and restaurant recs and bookings). The hotel was clean, well decorated, and generally pleasant to be in.
