I mean, you get the best of both worlds here – close enough to stumble back from a late dinner in the medieval quarter, but far enough that you’re not hearing street musicians at 7 AM. The building itself has that solid Soviet-era construction, which actually means the walls are thick and you won’t hear your neighbors watching TV. There’s a small grocery store just around the corner that locals use, and honestly, picking up some Estonian dark bread and local cheese there became part of my morning routine.

What surprised me most was how the 8.2 rating totally makes sense when you actually stay here. It’s not trying to be fancy – the decor is pretty basic, clean lines, nothing Instagram-worthy – but everything just works. The kitchen has real dishes (not paper plates like some budget places), the shower has decent water pressure, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your suitcase instead of living out of it for a week. The check-in process was refreshingly simple too, no awkward small talk or upselling attempts. Sometimes you just want a clean, functional base where you can collapse after walking around those cobblestones all day, and this delivers on that promise. The area gets busy during lunch hours when office workers from nearby buildings grab food, but evenings are pretty quiet. I’d definitely recommend this if you’re the type who wants to experience Tallinn like someone who actually lives there, rather than staying in some generic hotel where every morning feels like a business conference.

  Black, white, grey and wood this study in minimalism is almost artistic in its ambition. Just a couple of pictures and a pot plant detract from the purity.
  
  More helpfully thus appartment had all we needed and nothing we didn't. Clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. The location is out of the centre, but close to a Tram station. Free parking on site.
  
  What could be improved: In contrast to the ascetic interior the surroundings are derelict and decrepit, but it does not matter.

  What could be improved: The walls are very thin, so if you're sensitive to noise, this might be an issue. The apartment also lacked thick curtains, making it very bright and difficult to sleep. I recommend getting thicker curtains for better rest.
