Hotel Regent Tallinn
Hotel Regent Tallinn
I'll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel Regent Tallinn, I wasn't expecting much from the outside.
I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel Regent Tallinn, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. The building has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “luxury hotel,” but once you step through those doors, you know you’ve found something special. The lobby has this warm, sophisticated vibe with rich wood details and soft lighting that immediately makes you feel like you’re somewhere important without being stuffy about it.
What really struck me during my stays here is how the staff actually remembers your name after the first night – and I mean genuinely remembers, not just checking their notes. The concierge team knows Tallinn inside and out, which is incredibly helpful because honestly, this city has so many hidden gems tucked away in medieval alleyways that you’d never find on your own. They pointed me toward this incredible little restaurant on Rataskaevu Street that I would have walked right past, and it ended up being one of my best meals in Estonia. The rooms themselves are spacious (a real luxury in European city centers), with these gorgeous marble bathrooms and beds that are actually comfortable – you know how hit-or-miss hotel beds can be. I stayed on the fifth floor last time and could see glimpses of Toompea Castle through the trees, which was pretty magical in the evening light.
You can tell this place takes the five-star thing seriously without being pretentious. The breakfast is outstanding – proper Estonian black bread alongside French pastries, local honey, and coffee that’s actually worth drinking. Parking can be a bit tricky in this part of town, but they have valet service that’s worth every euro because the medieval streets around here weren’t exactly designed for modern cars. What I really appreciate is that despite being a luxury property, it doesn’t feel disconnected from the city. You’re a genuine two-minute walk from Town Hall Square, but far enough from the main tourist crowds that you won’t hear groups wandering around at night. The whole area gets this lovely quiet atmosphere after dinner time when the day-trippers head back to their cruise ships. With a 9.0 rating, you might expect it to be perfect, and while it comes pretty close, the Wi-Fi can be spotty on higher floors (though honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise). If you’re looking for a place that feels both refined and authentically Estonian – not just some international chain that could be anywhere – this is absolutely the spot.

What Our Guests Say
The location was great, in the old city, but quiet part of it. Staff was the most helpful, they were able to address any request. Everything was clean, bed was comfy, sauna was great. I would stay here everytime I visit.
Cleanliness, decor, staff, exceptional bedding mattress and linens - everything you would expect from a 5* property.
What could be improved: Nothing!
Lovely luxury hotel with a calm and quiet pool. Loved the location close to all the nice places in the old town as well as the harbour. Absolutely nicest staff ever! Very clean room and hotel. Everything was perfect.
Superb hotel, service, plus additional requests met in full. Perfect location for Tallinn Old Town exploring also easy to the tram stop...
Highly recommended
What could be improved: Nothing to report.
Great location, interesting history of the property
What could be improved: Younger, inexperienced staff,
Small sauna tucked in the basement, but needs a shower/rinsing/cooling faucet in the sauna area (closest one is in the gym area next door).
- Location was amazing
- Room was large, view was cute
- Bed was comfy
- Staff was incredibly helpful and nice
- Small pool and spa
What could be improved: - Shower pressure is light
Lovely old building, exceptionally clean, nicely decorated and amazing staff!
What could be improved: Nothing
The staff was incredibly helpful and the room was huge and CLEAN. The bathroom was also spacious and brand new.
What could be improved: The shower took a while to warm up, but the front desk explained that’s just the pipes in Old Town Tallinn.
The hotel is in a quiet part of Pikk tv, which was perfect because at night time there were no disturbances. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Before booking I read that some people had issues with hot water in the bathroom. But I had absolutely no issues with this. The water is lovely and hot for a warm bath or shower.
The staff are exceptional! They were so helpful and friendly.
Location was also excellent. It is a 5 minute walk from the main square. And a 15 minute walk to the port.
What could be improved: Nothing. It was perfect
