Hestia Hotel Seaport Tallinn Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Hestia Hotel Seaport Tallinn, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes these mid-range spots surprise you, and this one definitely grew on me during my stay. The location is actually pretty clever – you’re right in the Seaport area, which means you can literally walk to the ferry terminals if you’re planning day trips to Helsinki or Stockholm. I mean, that’s huge if you’re doing the Baltic capitals tour thing.
The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully simple” – clean lines, decent beds, and honestly better bathrooms than some 4-star places I’ve stayed at in Eastern Europe. The sound situation is interesting though – you’ll catch some port activity during the day, but it dies down completely at night, so don’t worry about cargo ships keeping you awake. What I really appreciated was how the staff handled check-in; they actually seemed to know the city well and gave me some solid restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the usual tourist traps in Old Town. The breakfast setup is pretty standard continental fare, but they do this Estonian black bread that’s worth trying – dense, hearty stuff that’ll keep you going through hours of cobblestone wandering.
Here’s the thing about staying in this area though – you’re about a 15-minute walk to Tallinn’s medieval center, which is perfect because you avoid the cruise ship crowds that flood the old city during peak season (trust me on this one, summer afternoons in Old Town can be brutal). The neighborhood itself has this emerging creative vibe with some interesting cafes and galleries popping up, plus you’ve got real grocery stores nearby instead of just overpriced tourist shops. Parking was surprisingly painless too, which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will appreciate. The 8.1 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works exactly as it should. If you’re the type who wants to experience Tallinn like someone who actually lives there rather than just hitting the postcard spots, this place gives you a solid home base without breaking the bank.

The location is excellent, just opposite D-tterminal. We arrived with mege star, it's so easy go to dropped bags and start to moving around. There is one shopping mall near by and rimi supermarket you can find anything you need it. To the old town the walking distance is about 20 minutes. Anything else is near by the old town.. breakfast to me is enough good. I paid 64e for 2 person including the breakfast, I'm very happy with the price and the room. The girls works there is friendly and nice. There is no fridge in the room, but to me is ok, we were just one night here, we spent most time in the restaurant, shopping mall and old town, we are now sit in the room rest, so we don't need it.
Very Good – Konstantinos from Greece (8/10)
The location is ideal for a trip to Finland, right outside there is the port and a bus station, although you can still walk downtown. The breakfast was varied and tasty.

Decent, budget-friendly accommodation in Tallinn seaport⁸ – Barbara from Croatia (8/10)
The hotel is conveniently located (next to the seaport terminal D), especially if one comes late in the evening by ferry. The old town is also reachable within cca 20 min walk. There is a mid-sized mall close where one can buy even meals (cold and warm buffet) in a big supermarket.
The hotel is quite and clean, with very good good breakfast of decent choice (the coffee is excellent) served.Very Good – Atul from Luxembourg (8/10)
Location – very handy if you have a ferry to catch
