You know what struck me first about Gotthard Residents? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and honestly, that’s refreshing. The lobby has this understated European vibe that feels more like stepping into a well-kept apartment building than a typical hotel, which I actually loved. It’s a solid 3-star that knows exactly what it is, and there’s something to be said for that kind of confidence.
The rooms are pretty straightforward – clean, functional, with decent beds that don’t leave you waking up with a sore back (trust me, I’ve learned to appreciate this more than fancy pillows). The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, and the shower pressure is surprisingly good. I mean, it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches, but everything works properly, which is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The Wi-Fi is reliable too, which matters if you’re trying to get any work done or just want to video call home without constantly freezing mid-conversation.
What I really appreciated was how quiet the place stays, even when it seems pretty full. The walls must be thicker than average because I barely heard my neighbors – you know how rare that is these days? The staff genuinely seems to care about making your stay smooth without being overly formal about it. They’re the kind of people who’ll actually give you useful local recommendations instead of just pointing you toward the most touristy spots. During my stay, the front desk guy told me about this little café around the corner that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of those perfect morning coffee spots that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The 7.1 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be a luxury experience, but it delivers consistently on the basics, which honestly counts for a lot when you’re traveling. Sometimes you just want a comfortable bed, a good shower, and to not worry about whether your stuff is safe while you’re out exploring. Gotthard Residents nails all of that without any fuss.

What Our Guests Say
For one night it’s the best place to stay. Affordable and clean. Property is built in beautiful style. The beds are comfy. There was hairdryer and towels. We even had a TV.
Good price/value ratio, enough to sleep, take a shower and sightseeing Tallin Hotel located in quite nice area, close to the market square, but still quiet, so very good conditions to sleep in the night. Good price/value ratio.
Basement without elevator. Location near to go to the boat.
Ok Location
Good Atmosphere, location, staffs are good and almost neat and clean hotel.
A comfortable spot for a short stay in Old Town Tallinn The room was really pretty comfortable and I was happily surprised by how large the fridge in the room was and also that the room included a hot plate. The location is really great, as it's just a bit south of the northern gate of the Old Town (known for "Fat Margaret" tower) on Pikk Street, so that means it's close to restaurants in the Old Town but also the ferry terminals and shops around the Old Town. The check-in and check-out was easy (there's no on-site staff, so you go to the relatively close St. Olav hotel run by the same owners to complete the check in and to check out you just leave your key in the room).
Good Good location. Yes, you have to do the check in at another hotel 450 metres away, but in our case we did it by passing by and the staff was friendly.
If you don't expect super service, this is a good choice for 2 nights in Tallinn. There was even a fridge in the room (which is great for beer, wine or fruit) and an electric kettle, but you have to have your own coffee or tea.
We had a great view in our room 301 (15 m2).
Less expectations and more good vibes will make your accommodations better.
