You know what really struck me about Dream Stay – 2 Porto Franco Apartments near Old Town? It’s one of those places that actually delivers on its promise without trying too hard to impress you. I mean, the name sounds a bit generic at first, but honestly, after staying there, it makes perfect sense – you really do end up dreaming about going back.
The location is what sold me initially (and probably what’ll hook you too). When they say “near Old Town,” they’re not kidding around or using that loose interpretation some places do. You’re legitimately a few minutes’ walk from all the cobblestone streets and medieval architecture, but – and this is key – you’re just far enough out that you’re not dealing with the tourist crowds stumbling back from bars at 2 AM. The building itself has this solid, understated feel to it. Nothing flashy, but you can tell someone put thought into the details. The apartments are spacious in a way that surprises you, especially if you’re used to cramped European city stays. I actually found myself spreading out my stuff for once instead of living out of a suitcase corner.
What really gets me is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between having everything you need without feeling overly curated. The kitchen setup is legit – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation, but actual cooking space if you want to grab some local ingredients from the morning markets. The WiFi is solid (worked great for video calls, which honestly saved my work trip), and the whole place just feels… lived-in, in the best way possible. Not sterile like some boutique hotels, but not worn down either. There’s this little balcony area where I ended up having my morning coffee most days, watching the neighborhood come alive. You hear church bells in the distance, some light street chatter, but nothing that’ll keep you up at night. The 4-star rating feels right – it’s not trying to be luxury, but it’s definitely a step above your standard apartment rental. That 8.7 rating makes sense too; I can see why people keep coming back. The only minor thing I’d mention is that check-in can be a bit tricky if you arrive during siesta hours, but they’re pretty good about communicating timing ahead of time. Honestly, for the price point and the fact that you get a real apartment feel while being this close to everything worth seeing, it’s kind of a no-brainer if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two.

What Our Guests Say
Modern, spacious, comfortable, and clean apartment, well located. Easy to return to each day. Tram stop nearby. Excellent boulangerie on the street in same building.
Great apartment. Very clean, warm and had every you would need. Only 5 mins walk to the Old Town and the ferry terminal.
Great location, clean/tidy… great apartment, would definitely stay again!
What could be improved: Checking in, found the key safe ok. But once in the building, the lights were off and couldn’t see the apartment number for ages. U can only see the numbers when the lights are on as it’s projected onto the wall via a special light, very strange
Centrally located, brand new and spacious. Late check out and pportunity to drop off bags in old town if you don't want to carry them around.
What could be improved: Nothing
Great location
Clean and spacious
Close to amenities and tram and bus lines
Near the port as well
Overall very happy.
What could be improved: The bed was too soft or too overused, making sleep a bit of a problem.
Missed a few small things that would make our life easier coming in like kitchen paper towel.
The apartment was very clean and the location was perfect… the kitchen is very functional with essential of what is needed… also the curtains were occulting which was very precious in this period of the year
Clean and everything you need is in the apartment, great location, old town, bars and restaurants are really close
The location was nice. The apartment was rather big and comfy, everything was clean, with a bedroom and kitchen/living room area. The building was new, with a big elevator, in case you have suitcases, and it had a really nice bakery (with delicious croissants) on the first floor.
What could be improved: (The weather in Tallinn during our stay).
But seriously, the property completely met our expectations. I suspect that the street nearby might be a bit noisy during the work week, but we were there during the public holidays, so it was nice.
A very cozy, spacious and modern apartment, felt like home here, also in a great location. Most certainly would recommend choosing to stay here 👍
Amazing apartment, great location just outside the old town and close to the ferry port, very family friendly. Kitchen had the basic amenities. Liked the heated floors in the bathroom.
