You know what caught me off guard about CityView Apartment? The name actually undersells it. I mean, sure, it’s got decent views from the upper floors, but honestly, what impressed me most was how they’ve managed to create this sort of hybrid experience that’s way better than your typical apartment-style accommodation.

The place has this lived-in feeling that I really appreciate – not sterile like some chain hotels, but not messy either. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I love that they’ve kept the original hardwood floors in most units (though fair warning, they do creak a bit if you’re a light sleeper). Each unit feels different too, which is refreshing. Mine had this great little kitchen nook with everything you’d actually need – not just the bare minimum like most places dump on you. The coffee maker was decent quality, and they stock real coffee, not those weird packets. Small thing, but you notice it in the morning.

What really sets this place apart though is the staff – they actually seem to know the neighborhood. When I asked about breakfast spots, the guy at the front desk didn’t just hand me a tourist brochure. He told me about this little bakery three blocks over that opens at 6 AM and makes incredible pastries, and mentioned which subway entrance to use to avoid the morning crowds. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t fake. The 9.1 rating makes total sense when you experience that level of genuine helpfulness. Parking can be a bit tricky (street parking mostly, and you’ll need to move your car during street cleaning), but they’ve got a deal worked out with a garage about two blocks away that’s way cheaper than the daily rates you’d pay at fancier hotels. Check-in was smooth – they’re pretty flexible about timing, which is clutch when you’re dealing with delayed flights or weird train schedules. The building itself has character without being run-down, if that makes sense. It’s in one of those neighborhoods that’s clearly been gentrifying but hasn’t lost its personality yet. You’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down after 10 PM most nights. Actually, I found it kind of comforting – felt like being part of the city instead of sealed off from it in some corporate tower.

  The apartment is located in a quiet, clean, equipped area. 15-20 min walking distance to the old town. There is also a bus stop nearby and a Selver market! Easy check-in, precise instructions!

  Everything inside the apartment. It was great that a washing machine and washing powder was provided so I could wash my clothes mid-journey (I was visiting 4 countries).
