The thing about staying right on Raua street is that you’re genuinely in the thick of things without feeling like you’re camping out in Times Square, if you know what I mean. I could walk to most of the main sights in under ten minutes, and there’s this little corner bakery just down the block that honestly became my daily ritual – the smell of fresh bread would drift up to the apartment in the mornings. The balcony is small but actually useful (not one of those tiny Juliet balconies where you can barely fit), and I found myself having my coffee out there most mornings, watching the neighborhood wake up. The street does get a bit lively on weekend evenings, but nothing that a decent pair of earplugs couldn’t handle if you’re a light sleeper.

What really impressed me was how thoughtfully set up everything was – I mean, someone clearly lives in apartments like this and knows what travelers actually need. The kitchen had proper coffee cups (not those tiny hotel ones), the shower had decent water pressure, and there were enough outlets near the bed for all my devices. The building itself is older but well-maintained, and my host was super responsive when I had questions about the heating system. I actually ended up extending my stay by two nights because the whole setup just worked for me. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers on the practical stuff that matters when you’re exploring a city all day and just want a comfortable base to come back to. Plus, having a proper balcony in the city center at this price point? That’s pretty hard to find these days.

  The apartment is located in an excellent place, very easy to reach from the bus station. It was bright, spacious, warm and very clean. There were a bottle of water and chocolates to welcome us. If you want to read, there are free books in the living room and if you stay with kids, there are toys they can play with. For small emergencies there were also basic medicines and face masks provided. We much liked the balcony and the view 🙂
