Child-friendly apartment in Kadriorg Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw Child-friendly apartment in Kadriorg listed on J. Kunderi tänav, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. The name pretty much tells you everything upfront, which I actually appreciate after staying in too many places that promise the moon and deliver, well, considerably less. But this little spot? It genuinely delivers on that promise, and honestly, it’s become my go-to recommendation for anyone traveling to Tallinn with kids in tow.
The location is what really sells it for me. You’re right in the heart of things on Kunderi street, but it doesn’t feel touristy or overwhelming – more like you’re staying in a neighborhood where actual people live. The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake, you know? Everything’s set up with families in mind, from the kitchen that’s actually functional (I mean, you can cook real meals here, not just reheat leftovers) to the little touches like extra pillows and blankets that someone clearly thought through. The 8.5 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails exactly what it’s supposed to be.
What I love most is how it puts you right in Kadriorg without the premium price tag you’d pay closer to the palace grounds. You can walk to Kadriorg Park in about ten minutes, which is perfect for letting kids burn off energy, and the tram connections are actually decent if you want to head into Old Town. The neighborhood has this quiet residential vibe during the day – you’ll hear birds more than traffic, honestly – but there are enough cafes and small shops within walking distance that you’re not isolated. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (street parking mostly), but that’s pretty standard for central Tallinn. The building itself is one of those solid Soviet-era blocks that look unremarkable from outside but are surprisingly spacious inside. Check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming arrival times in advance since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. My only minor gripe is that the WiFi can be temperamental during busy evening hours, but honestly, that might be a blessing in disguise when you’re traveling with family.
Hotels in Tallinn offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Baltic jewel, with easy access to museums, medieval towers, and startup districts.

Reviews of Child-friendly apartment in Kadriorg
Very Good – Mihhail from United Kingdom – August 15, 2025 (8/10)
Wonderful – Divya from Estonia – August 5, 2025 (9/10)
Location was a complete highlight, walkable to Kadrioru. The entire space was so kid friendly, my kids decided to spend one full afternoon at the house. It was very clean, compact and cozy with many bed options. It was such a memorable stay 🙂
What could be improved: Only minor thing is bathroom flush wasn't working properly, we had to press very hard and spend lot of time figuring it out and the bathing area couldn't withstand a lot of water as well. Since the house and location was good, it did not bother us much and everything else was pleasantOverpriced. – Peter from Israel – August 4, 2025 (6/10)
Nice old house. If you like this. 🙂
What could be improved: Very cramped. There is no place to put your clothes in the bedroom. In the "children's room" the bed is suitable only for a very small child. A camp-cot is needed for a teenager, and again there will be no room left. You have to be very strong to flush the toilet. And the shower stall is leaking and everything is in the water.Very Good – Hani from Finland – August 4, 2025 (8/10)
Täydellinen paikka, etenkin pienten lasten kanssa oli melkein kaikki mitä tarvitsi. Voittaa hotelli huoneen.
What could be improved: Asunto sijaitsee toisessa kerroksessa ja portaat eivät ole parhaassa kunnossa, joten kärryjen kuljettaminen ylös ja alas ei ole kovin helppoa. Mutta ei se meitä haitannut.Exceptional – Emilia from Finland – June 29, 2025 (10/10)
Aivan ihana ja hyvin varusteltu asunto🌸
Cute, cozy, great value! – Molly from United States – June 19, 2025 (10/10)
It was cute, clean and cozy. It had everything I needed. I was traveling alone – no kids. There was a bedroom set up for kids but I used it as a place to keep my things. The kitchen was full function. It was a great value! The host was very responsive and accommodating. It was a quiet and safe neighborhood. Not much around there other than residential but there was a grocery story about a 10 min walk and also a HUGE beautiful park across from the store. I rented a scooter to explore it. There is a tram one block over which was also super convenient.
What could be improved: My first impression upon entering is that the building itself (stairs, etc) seemed quite run down. But I quickly learned that is 100% typical in the city. And again, was not reflective of the actual apartment.
