You know what really caught me off guard about Calandra Apartment? The moment I walked in, it felt more like I was staying at a friend’s carefully curated place rather than some sterile hotel room. I mean, with a 9.3 rating, I had high expectations, but honestly – this three-star spot punches way above its weight class.

The thing is, apartment-style accommodations can be hit or miss (trust me, I’ve had my share of disappointing kitchenettes), but Calandra gets the balance just right. The space actually feels lived-in without being worn down, if that makes sense. There’s this nice attention to detail – like the way they’ve set up the living area so you’re not tripping over your suitcase every time you want to grab something from the fridge. And speaking of the kitchen, it’s properly equipped. Not just some sad hot plate situation, but actual cookware that you’d want to use if you’re planning to save money by eating in occasionally.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even during busier periods. The walls are solid enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the neighboring units, which – let’s be honest – can make or break your stay when you’re trying to decompress. The whole setup works particularly well if you’re planning a longer visit or traveling with family, since everyone can spread out a bit instead of being cramped into a standard hotel room. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward waiting around while they figure out your reservation. I actually found myself looking forward to coming back each evening, which doesn’t always happen when you’re traveling. It’s got that rare quality where you feel settled pretty much immediately, rather than spending half your trip wishing you’d booked somewhere else.

  The location and price of this accommodation were perfect for us. Easy to get to, not loud at night, and close to many places we wanted to visit.

  The apartment is spacious and clean. It’s perfectly located in the old town and for the most part of our stay we just walked everywhere.
  The kitchen was well organized with everything we needed and so was the bathroom.
  The bedroom and living room are big and comfortable.
  The Wi-Fi is good and there is a good tv set as well!
  The self check-in was easy and communication with the owner was smooth.
  We really enjoyed our stay here!
  
  What could be improved: I realised only there that there is no washing machine, but that’s on me really 😂

  Superb location, very close to train/bus station, food markets and bar area, and the old town. It was really spacious and very quiet and the bed was really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped.

  Décor, comfort, space, authenticity. The owner was very co-operative. The owner provided slippers to protect the floors.
  
  What could be improved: The fridge door was difficult to open. To protect the table from accidents there were no mats or coasters.

  The apartment is beautiful and spacious, with lovely views in the old town. Great location for old town, next to a big park and close to the train station. Also easy to walk to Kalamaja and Telliskivi areas, to the trams etc. Good wide beds and comfy arm chairs! Nice bath products in the bathroom and coffee and filters provided for breakfast.

  This apartment and everything about it was wonderful and perfect for my 4 nights in Estonia. It was super comfortable all round and very spacious. The photos are exactly as the apartment is. Really appreciated the coffee machine and the coffee. The location is so convenient that it's even possible to come back during the day for a short break or lunch or just a rest before venturing out again. Loved the bath tub too. It's super easy to get to the apartment on the number 2 bus from Tallin airport. Hosts are very responsive to anything u need both prior to arriving and on arrival.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing. This place really was exceptional.
