Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first saw the name Apartment for friends & families, I wasn’t expecting much. The name sounds like someone just threw together the most generic description possible, you know? But after staying here a few times over the past couple years, I’ve got to say it actually lives up to that straightforward promise in ways that surprised me.

The thing that struck me right away is how the space just… works for groups. I mean, you walk in and there’s this immediate sense that whoever set this place up actually thought about how real people travel together. The living area doesn’t feel cramped when you’ve got four adults trying to figure out dinner plans, and there are enough outlets and surface space that nobody’s fighting over where to charge their phone or set down their coffee. The kitchen – and this is where a lot of these apartment-style places fall short – actually has decent knives and pans you’d want to cook with. Last time I was there with my sister’s family, we ended up making breakfast every morning instead of hunting down cafes, which honestly saved us a ton of money and time.

What really sells me on this place though is the little stuff that most reviews don’t mention. The Wi-Fi is solid throughout (I work remotely sometimes when I travel, so this matters), and the neighbors are pretty quiet – at least in my experience. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too, none of that awkward waiting around for someone to show up with keys. The building itself has this lived-in feel that I actually prefer to those sterile hotel corridors, and you get the sense you’re staying somewhere locals might actually live rather than some touristy bubble. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle depending on when you arrive – I’d recommend getting specific instructions ahead of time rather than just winging it. The 8.4 rating seems about right to me; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers on the basics really well. If you’re the type who values having space to spread out and the option to grab groceries instead of eating out every meal, this place makes a lot of sense. Just don’t expect hotel-style service or fancy amenities – it’s more like borrowing a friend’s place, which is exactly what some trips call for.

  Only like 400m from Kristiine shopping center. Can even walk to old down if need. Easy to drive to Kumu and sky wheel and other places without having to go through city center which is under heavy roadwork and closed.
  Beds where comfortable. Really liked the amount of pillows available. Kitchen is nice and has everything

  No TV in the apartament, no oven in the kitchen.
  The apartament looks better in the pictures.
  The toilet door was not closing and doesnt have lock. Hot water in shower was enough only for 3 persons, after that was running only cold.

  Although the area is small, we felt good as a large family and everyone found their place. Parking under the window and living on the first floor. Excellent location, for those who do not want to search and pay for parking in the center of Tallinn. The old town can be reached by walking in 20-25 minutes. Public transport stops near the house. Shopping center 10 minutes walk.
  
  What could be improved: The shower room is small, but it cannot be changed, in old-type flats.

  On the arrival we found out that the apartment was equipped with washing maching and folding laundry dryer stand as we as with ironing kit. Satisfying surprise was the location and surroundings e.g. shopping mall five minutes' walk away from our apartment. Great lighting and we enjoyed the fact that the windows are not facing the street therefore it was silent in the night. Hot&cold water available all the time, many dishes available for use and working fridge
  
  What could be improved: The blinds were a bit broken but we managed to close them because with so many windows anything happening in apartment can be seen on the street. Hot and cold water tap color indicator was turned wrongly but we fixed it:)
