First Impressions
Walking into Forum Studio on the sixth floor of a building right on Narva mnt, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this three-star spot. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in simple packages. This apartment-style accommodation sits smack in the middle of Tallinn‘s Old Town area, and I mean literally — you’re about as central as you can get without actually sleeping in Town Hall Square.
The Heart of Everything
The location here is actually ridiculous — and I mean that in the best way possible. You’re on Narva mnt, which is basically Tallinn’s main artery leading straight into the medieval Old Town. I could walk to the Town Hall in maybe three minutes, and all those cobblestone streets with the tourist shops and restaurant are right there. What I really loved though is that couples seem to get it — they’re rating this location a perfect 10, and honestly, I can see why. There’s something romantic about being able to stroll to dinner through those medieval streets, then come back to your own little space.
The Space Itself
The room setup is pretty straightforward — it’s a studio apartment, so you’ve got everything you need in one compact space. There’s a small kitchen area that’s actually useful (not just for show), which means you can grab groceries from the Rimi downstairs and make your own breakfast if you want. The space feels more like staying in someone’s city apartment rather than a typical hotel, which I actually preferred. Sure, it’s not fancy, but it’s clean and functional, and the windows give you a decent view of the street action below.
Getting Around and Practical Stuff
Here’s the thing about staying this central — you barely need transportation. The airport bus stops practically at your doorstep, and if you’re planning day trips to places like Kadriorg Palace or Pirita Beach, the tram connections are super easy from here. Parking can be a bit tricky since you’re in the city center, but honestly, most people don’t need a car when staying here. The building itself is older (this is Tallinn, after all), so don’t expect a fancy elevator experience, but the sixth floor location means you’re away from street noise.
Why Guests Love It
Look, Forum Studio isn’t trying to be something it’s not — it’s a solid, no-frills base in an absolutely killer location. The fact that it scored a 9.5 for location tells you everything you need to know. You’re paying for the address here, and it delivers. I’d come back, especially for a short city break where I want to be in the thick of things. The apartment-style setup gives you more flexibility than a regular hotel room, and when you can walk to every major sight in Old Town, plus have easy access to the port and newer parts of the city, it just makes sense. It’s particularly great for couples who want their own space but don’t want to sacrifice location for it.
