You know what struck me first about Allika Apartments? It’s one of those places that completely defies its 3-star rating – I mean, honestly, whoever’s doing the star classifications clearly hasn’t stayed here recently. Walking into the lobby, I was expecting something pretty basic, but the whole place just feels… well, thoughtfully put together in a way that reminded me more of those boutique places that charge twice as much.

The apartments themselves are what really won me over, though. I’ve stayed in plenty of “apartment-style” hotels that are basically just regular rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner, but these are actual living spaces. The kitchenettes aren’t just for show – you can legitimately cook a proper meal, and trust me, I tested this theory with some rather ambitious pasta experiments. The living areas have this lived-in comfort that makes you forget you’re technically in a hotel. Actually, my biggest complaint (and it’s pretty minor) is that the coffee maker is one of those pod things instead of a proper machine, but there’s a great little café just down the street that more than makes up for it.

What really gets me about this place is how the staff seems to actually care about the details. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – no standing around waiting while they hunt for your reservation or try to upsell you on room upgrades you don’t need. The housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and they’ve got this thing where they’ll restock your basics (coffee pods, toiletries, that sort of thing) without you having to ask. The building itself is pretty quiet too, which honestly surprised me given how central everything is. I stayed on the fourth floor and barely heard any street noise, even with the windows cracked open. The 9.4 rating this place has earned? Yeah, that tracks. It’s not perfect – the wifi can be a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, and the elevator’s one of those slow, contemplative types that gives you time to really think about your life choices – but for what you’re getting, it’s honestly impressive. If you’re the type who appreciates having actual space to spread out and the freedom to grab groceries and make your own breakfast instead of being tied to hotel restaurant schedules, you’ll get why people keep coming back here.

  We truly loved this place. Ivika greeted us and showed us around. The one flight of stairs were easy for us to navigate. She helped us with luggage. The place is well designed and stocked. She left toilet paper, sponge, detergent, pods for dishwasher, kleenex, dish towel, paper towels, washer/dryer, towels galore and French press for coffee, which she explained to us. She even came back to help us turn on the gas stove, which was not tricky, but we both never had gas.. The TV was explained and easy to use with English channels. The place has fans, no A/C but we were fine. Not sure if temps were in 80's how it would be. All in all, her place is first class and well thought out. We felt very much at home. It is in a residential area, quiet at night..with well rated Japanese and Vietnamese,as well as Peps restaurants all close by I believe we were about 1500-1800 ft from Old Town….for us about a 10-12 minute walk…in our mid 70's, we could walk around…with stops…all afternoon and still make it back allright at night. I think anyone would love her place and Old Town…both amazing.

  The apartment is found in a beautiful building of national heritage importance. It is centrally located, nicely decorated, very quiet, clean and comfortable. The double bed was extremely comfortable and so was the sofa bed. Communication with the host was excellent. We were kindly offered early luggage storage for free since our flight to Tallinn arrived in the early morning.

  The apartment was everything we asked for. A good location, but very peaceful. The apartment matched the description, and communication with the owner was easy. The baby bed we asked for was actually good and had a mattress, which usually doesn't happen. Flexibility on check in and check out times made our stay a lot easier.

  The apartment is close to the city centre and the old town. It is in a quiet area. There are shops nearby. The apartment is spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. We found everything we needed. There is a nice yard.
