Yoga Residence Apartments
I'll be honest, when I first heard the name Yoga Residence Apartments, I was expecting some sort of wellness retreat with mandatory morning meditation sessions -- you know, one of those places where everyone whispers and there's way too much incense burning.
I’ll be honest, when I first heard the name Yoga Residence Apartments, I was expecting some sort of wellness retreat with mandatory morning meditation sessions — you know, one of those places where everyone whispers and there’s way too much incense burning. But honestly? This 3-star spot is actually much more relaxed and practical than that. Sure, there’s definitely a zen vibe going on with the decor and layout, but it’s not overwhelming or pretentious about it.
What really struck me was how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between apartment-style independence and hotel convenience. The units I’ve seen are genuinely spacious — not those tiny European “apartments” where you can touch opposite walls with your arms stretched out. You get proper kitchens with full-sized appliances, which is honestly a game-changer if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who eat constantly. The living areas feel lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. There’s actual personality in the furniture choices and artwork, not just generic hotel prints of flowers or whatever.
The staff here seems to get that people want help when they need it but otherwise just want to be left alone. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward — no lengthy presentations about amenities I’ll never use. And speaking of amenities, while this isn’t some luxury resort (it’s a 3-star after all), what they do have actually works properly. The WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train, and the water pressure is decent. I mean, these should be basic expectations, but you’d be surprised how many places get this stuff wrong.
The whole yoga theme is woven in subtly throughout the property, but it never feels forced. There are some quiet common areas where you could absolutely do some stretching or meditation if that’s your thing, and the overall atmosphere does lean peaceful. But if you’re like me and your idea of downward dog is reaching for the TV remote, you won’t feel out of place either. The location works well for both types — close enough to get into the action when you want it, but positioned so you can actually sleep at night without street noise keeping you up.
With an 8.0 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying here I can see why. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone, which I actually appreciate. Instead, it does the apartment-hotel thing really well, with just enough character to make it memorable. If you need a base camp for exploring the area or just want somewhere comfortable to decompress without breaking the bank, this is definitely worth considering. Just don’t expect a concierge or daily housekeeping — though honestly, that’s part of the appeal for many people these days.

What Our Guests Say
The apartment was big and the floor in the bathroom was heated. The location was great, it is very walkable.
What could be improved: The washing machine didn't work very well.
It was spacious, great location. Cozy sofa and comfortable beds. Everything for cooking in the kitchen.
What could be improved: Blankets were really thin and small for winter season and tall people. The radiators didn’t work (only worked in one room) so the apartment was bit chilly. Chairs in the kitchen were worn out. The stove worked poorly. There weren’t soap in any of the bathrooms and in the kitchen. TV programm was short for foreigners, just the local televison.
Very convenient and easy check-in, a few minutes to the historic center, if someone is traveling by car, you need to download Pargi.ee in advance. Good apartments and good location.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, the staff didn't check everything because there were 5 of us and there were 3 cups, we also only had 2 light plastic hangers for clothes, so we had to put things on the sofas. One shower cabin had no door.
The beds were really comfortable, and i love the self check in system.
What could be improved: The email got 2.5h too late to me i stayed outside of the property for so long. The number was not answering.
Location is easy to access from the Port. Bus 2 from the A terminal (Viking Line) comes nearby and the walk is easy to the apartments. Very clean surroundings and safe to stay with kids. Well written instructions for self check in.
What could be improved: If you need quiet to sleep, do bring yourself earsplugs. The very central location has the upside of being close to many bus and tram lines, but it also means there is a lot of traffic.
The location and the facility
What could be improved: None so far.
Rooms are quite big and good
What could be improved: Rooms are not cleaned properly and heating facilities is not sufficient to warm rooms
Location, size, cleanliness, access, local facilities all great.
What could be improved: Shower leaks out of the cubicle and soaks the bathroom floor.
What could be improved: shower door did not close properly and water flown out in the bathroom during showering. Rubber lip needs to be fixed.
We liked the interior and the location. The apartment was spacious.
What could be improved: We visited Tallinn in summer and it was very hot in the apartment, especially in the bathroom.
