But here’s the thing about Põhja-Tallinn that most tourists don’t realize: this northern district is where the real character lives, away from the Old Town crowds and overpriced everything.

The building itself has this converted warehouse vibe that actually works really well. You know how some places try too hard to be trendy? This isn’t that. The loft-style rooms feel genuine – high ceilings, exposed elements, but comfortable in a way that makes you want to kick off your shoes and stay awhile. I mean, a 9.2 rating doesn’t just happen by accident. The staff clearly gets that small details matter, like actually having enough outlets near the bed (thank you!) and blackout curtains that, you know, actually black out the room. The shower pressure was surprisingly excellent too – something you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve stayed in places where it feels like a gentle mist.

What I really love about this spot is how it sits in the neighborhood. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk from Kalamaja’s colorful wooden houses and trendy cafes, but without the tourist markup on your morning coffee. The tram connections are solid if you want to zip into the city center, though honestly, I found myself exploring the local area more than I expected. There’s this authentic Estonian feel here that the Old Town just can’t match anymore – actual residents going about their daily lives, corner shops that aren’t selling overpriced amber jewelry, that sort of thing. The area can feel a bit quiet in the evenings (some might say too quiet), but if you’re looking for nightlife, you’re probably staying somewhere else anyway. This is more about having a comfortable, well-designed base while you explore Tallinn properly. The price point makes sense for what you get – it’s not trying to be a luxury hotel, but it nails the fundamentals and adds just enough style to feel special.

  The apartment was new or like new, clean, and fully equipped with all necessary facilities.
  
  What could be improved: Since the sun never set during my stay, the window blinds and shutters were insufficient to block the light, making it difficult to get the apartment dark enough to sleep.

  The place itself is very beautiful, cozy, and modern; everything is clean and tidy, and the communication with the hosts is excellent
  
  What could be improved: There were a few small things missing, like shampoo, hair conditioner, and shower gel. But what we disliked the most was the noise — it was very hard to get a good night’s sleep. The door was extremely loud, and every time it slammed, it felt like someone was entering the apartment. Because of that, I couldn’t sleep properly
