What really struck me was how they’ve managed to blend modern apartment living with that historic Rotermann industrial vibe – I mean, you’re literally staying in what used to be this amazing factory district that’s been transformed into shops, galleries, and restaurants. The apartment itself feels properly upscale (those 4 stars aren’t just for show), with everything you’d actually want in a longer stay: a kitchen that’s not just decorative, proper storage space, and honestly some of the most comfortable beds I’ve encountered in the Baltics. The windows are big enough that you get great natural light, which matters more than you’d think during those shorter winter days. One thing I really appreciated – and this might sound minor but it’s not – is that the WiFi actually works everywhere in the unit, including that awkward corner where the dining table sits.

The building itself sits right where you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in Tallinn, but here’s the thing locals know: you’re also perfectly positioned for those little Estonian design shops and cafes that tourists often miss because they stick to the medieval center. I’d grab coffee at Klaus downstairs in the morning (their pastries are ridiculous), then wander through the quarter before heading into Old Town later. Parking can be a bit tricky around here – well, like most of central Tallinn really – but there are options within a block or two if you’re driving. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward “meet someone at a random street corner” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. What impressed me most was the attention to details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days: proper hangers, decent lighting for getting ready, and a shower with actual water pressure. That 9.0 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well.

  Everything was perfect. I was a little worried at first because I tried and tried to find this place on Google Maps but it’s there, don’t worry! It’s a little door next to Tallinn Design House but not 8ERA. It has a stove, oven, fridge, freezer, dish washing machine and a super comfortable bed. The AC worked well, and the room has English cable channels including the news with Estonian and Russian as well. The bathroom has a washing machine inside, and the shower is nice. The room I think is soundproof because I couldn’t hear anything outside which was awesome. There’s an elevator to upper floors so no worries. They have a parking garage but it’s a little pricey €20 a day. There is another garage only five-minute walk away for €6/24h.
  The owner Maria was friendly and allowed me to leave my luggage before check in time and she gave me the key then. All attractions are a quick walk away and old town was only about 10 minutes by foot. Everything is centrally located.
  
  Regarding the washing machine – It's very small. As an American, I wear jeans often. I did not use this machine during my stay as I went elsewhere to do laundry. Nothing beats doing laundry back home.
  
  What could be improved: No microwave, but that’s all. I just warmed anything up in the oven. Not a big deal.

  Everything met our expectations. The apartment is new, spacious for two and clean. The host responded quickly to any enquiries. We were able to self cater as the kitchen had everything we needed. The washing machine was an added bonus. The location was easy for walks into the old town. Great bars and restaurants nearby.

  Mainio sijainti, lyhyt matka kaikkialle. Korkeat huoneet, vaikka uusi talo. Sisustus oli huolella tehty. Kaikki vaikutti uudelta. Säilytystilaa vaatteille ym. oli paljon. Pienistä puutteista huolimatta arvosana 10.
  
  What could be improved: Muutama yksityiskohta (nämä mainittu aiemmissakin arvioissa). Ilmanvaihdon jatkuva hurina. Minua se vähän vaivasi, mutta ei kahta matkakumppaniani. Ikkunoita peittivät verhot, joihin ei saanut koskea. 4. kerros, hissi. Kesällä voi vähän kuulua ääntä yöaikaan. Ja vain 1 avain.

  The location was just outside of the old town so very quiet! It was in a district called Rotermanni which has lovely shops and many great restaurants. Supermarkets are nearby. The apartment was large and very well equipped including a washing machine The host was easy to contact .
  
  What could be improved: The apartment was a little cold. In fairness, we didn’t inform the host that we were cold so she didn’t have the opportunity to correct the issue for us
