Veerenni studio, modern & central. Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Veerenni studio, modern & central, I wasn’t expecting much from the exterior. It’s tucked into a fairly typical Tallinn residential building on Veerenni Street, and you know how these older Estonian buildings can be a bit… well, let’s say they don’t always photograph well from the outside. But once you get inside apartment 1, it’s actually a pleasant surprise.

The space feels genuinely modern without being sterile, if that makes sense. Someone clearly put thought into the layout – the studio setup works really well, and there’s this nice flow between the sleeping area and the little kitchenette. The windows face the street, so you get decent natural light during those short winter days (though honestly, if you’re visiting in summer, you’ll have light until like 10 PM anyway). I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch – we’re talking about a solid 3-star experience here – but everything feels clean and functional. The shower pressure was actually better than I expected, which is always a relief when you’re dealing with older Tallinn plumbing.

What I really appreciated was the location. Veerenni Street puts you right in that sweet spot where you’re central enough to walk everywhere that matters, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of the Old Town every time you step outside. You can reach Viru Square in maybe 8-10 minutes on foot, and there’s a decent grocery store (Rimi) just a few blocks away if you want to use that kitchenette for more than just morning coffee. The tram stops are close too – though honestly, you probably won’t need them much unless you’re heading out to Kadriorg or something. One thing to note: parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, so if you’re driving, factor that in. Street parking exists but it’s metered during the day, and the building doesn’t have its own lot.

The whole experience feels very much like staying in someone’s well-maintained city apartment rather than a hotel room, which I actually prefer sometimes. There’s no front desk drama, no crowds in the lobby – just a straightforward check-in process and your own space. The 7.6 rating seems about right to me; it’s not going to blow you away, but it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re the type who wants to spend your days exploring Tallinn’s cobblestone streets and medieval walls, then come back to a quiet, comfortable spot to recharge, this works really well. Just don’t expect room service or a concierge – though in a city this walkable, you honestly don’t need them anyway.

To book a hotel in Tallinn during major Baltic festivals, travelers need early planning as this digital capital draws visitors eager to experience its UNESCO World Heritage old town and cutting-edge technology scene.

Reviews of Veerenni studio, modern & central.

  • Tallin stay – Catherine from Ireland – August 14, 2025 (9/10)

When we arrived we thought we were in the wrong place
Outside looked derelict but once we actually got inside the apartment itself is gorgeous
Very clean and had everything we needed for our stay
Within walking distance to local rimi supermarket turn right
We also walked into old town didn't take long at all

What could be improved: Didn't like the entrance
    Looked like a derelict house
Outside area could be more inviting and definitely could do with a good clean up

  • Good – Wiktor from Poland – May 26, 2025 (7/10)

Easy acces to room, quite close to bus stop and shop, room was nice and comfy, however building should be renovated.

What could be improved: Boiler in the bathroom was inefficient, be ready to very short showers

  • Nice room, hard to locate – Lilian from Lithuania – April 9, 2025 (9/10)

It was hard to find it, I was lost for 20 min as there's no house number and there were gates. Otherwise, amazing place and worth the money.

  • Good – Salome from Georgia – April 2, 2025 (7/10)

    Everything was normal

  • Worth the money! – Elenor from Estonia – March 18, 2025 (9/10)

Very nice and clean apartment. The hall is a bit creepy but we didnt mind it at all. Bed is SUPER COMFY. Only thing we didnt really understand was the water in the shower. It was warm for only a few second and then ice cold again. Floor was also heated. There are extra heaters in the room if you get cold. All good tho!

  • Good – Alvina from Latvia – January 3, 2025 (7/10)

Its good value for money and location is fab, close to the centre. It was warm and the bed was very comfortable

What could be improved: Only one set of towels (1 medium size and 1 large size) for 2 people for 2 days. That was really disappointing. No slippers unfortunately

  • Very Good – Teterja from United Kingdom – August 14, 2024 (8/10)

Newly decorated. Very clean. Inside ancient house.

What could be improved: I'm not sure. Too short stay, just one night

  • Very Good – Changyuan from Italy – August 1, 2024 (8/10)

It is well located – just 10min bus to the city center. The studio is well equipped inside, we got everything we need.

What could be improved: The air inside is not very good – maybe it's because this studio is newly renovated. anyway we had to let the windows open to keep the air fresh.

  • A few days in Tallinn – Mikhail from Finland – July 6, 2024 (8/10)

    – entry using codes
    – modern interior in the apartment
    – good price for Tallinn
    – first floor
    – the owner is able to solve problems
    – nice neighbors
    – the owner responds quickly to messages, speaks English and Russian

What could be improved: – Unfortunately check-in did not take place at the approved time, 1.5 hours later, the owner reported this by phone. I had to wait. There is some stuff stored in the entrance of the historic house, and the courtyard is a little uncomfortable.

  • Wonderful – Mihai from Romania – July 1, 2024 (9/10)

Viktor was very kind and let us check in earlier. The place is nice and modern but the building needs some improvements. It was a little bit cringe to enter. But I see the people are vorking on the building and for sure is going to have improvements in the future.
