Honestly, I’ve stayed in places that go overboard trying to match the historical setting and end up feeling like theme parks. This one keeps it simple and it works. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out too – actually functional, not just Instagram-pretty. Good lighting for reading (thank god), decent closet space, and the bathrooms are properly sized. I stayed there in late September and the heating was spot-on, which matters more than you’d think in the Baltics once summer’s over.

The location makes exploring so easy; you can wander the cobblestone streets of the old town in the morning, then walk fifteen minutes the other way to check out the Kalamaja neighborhood (which honestly has better cafes anyway). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage that takes the stress out of it. The only minor thing is that weekend nights can get a bit lively since you’re so central – not rowdy exactly, just the sound of people enjoying themselves drifting up from the streets. But honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying right in the heart of things. For what you get – the location, the quality, the genuine helpfulness – it’s hard to argue with that 9 rating.
