I was expecting just another decent city center hotel, but this place actually gets the balance right between being right in the thick of things and still feeling like a proper retreat. I mean, you’re literally on Roseni street – and if you know Tallinn at all, you’ll appreciate that this puts you about a three-minute walk from Town Hall Square without dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your window.

The building itself has this understated elegance thing going on that works really well. Nothing flashy or trying too hard, just clean modern lines that somehow don’t clash with the medieval vibe of the old town nearby. Honestly, I’ve stayed in places that go overboard trying to match the historical setting and end up feeling like theme parks. This one keeps it simple and it works. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out too – actually functional, not just Instagram-pretty. Good lighting for reading (thank god), decent closet space, and the bathrooms are properly sized. I stayed there in late September and the heating was spot-on, which matters more than you’d think in the Baltics once summer’s over.

What really sold me though was how the staff seemed to actually know the city. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but when I asked about finding decent Estonian food that wasn’t touristy, the front desk guy gave me three specific recommendations within walking distance – and they were all excellent. The location makes exploring so easy; you can wander the cobblestone streets of the old town in the morning, then walk fifteen minutes the other way to check out the Kalamaja neighborhood (which honestly has better cafes anyway). Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but they’ve got arrangements with a nearby garage that takes the stress out of it. The only minor thing is that weekend nights can get a bit lively since you’re so central – not rowdy exactly, just the sound of people enjoying themselves drifting up from the streets. But honestly, that’s part of the charm of staying right in the heart of things. For what you get – the location, the quality, the genuine helpfulness – it’s hard to argue with that 9 rating. Sometimes places just get it right without making a big fuss about it.

  Asunto oli todella siisti ja hyvin varusteltu, mitään ei puuttunut. Sijainti uudistetussa Rotermanni korttelissa on erinomainen, helppo lähteä käymään missä vain. Lähistöltä löytyy ruokakauppa, useita erilaisia kahviloita, baareja ja ravintoliota eikä vanha kaupunkikaan ole kovin kaukana.
  
  What could be improved: Saimme talon ns. pääavaimen vaivattomasti läheisestä vastaanotosta kuten pitikin, mutta asunnon älylukon koodin saamisessa kesti hieman. Vuokraaja oli kyllä sen lähettänyt, mutta en ollut sitä saanut. Jälkeenpäin huomasin sen löytyvän Booking.comin sivuilta, en vain ollut saanut siitä ilmoitusta sähköpostiini kuten aikaisemmista viesteistä. Myöhemmin kuulin, että tuolloin oli ollut Booking.comin sivuilla jotain ongelmia, eli ei ollut millään lailla vuokraajan vika.
  Pientä harmia aiheutti myös yhtenä iltana se, että hissi ei toiminut. (Toimi taas aamulla normaalisti.)

  Die Größe und allgemeine Austattung der Wohnung waren hervorragend.
  
  What could be improved: Die Schlüsselübergabe. Außerdem hatte die Wohnung keine funktionierende Klimaanlage und ware ehr warm. Durch den Lärm könnten man die Fenster nachst nur bedingt öffnen.
