I mean, the name makes it sound sort of grand and intimidating, but honestly, it’s got this incredibly welcoming vibe that surprised me. When you’re walking up through the cobblestone streets of Toompea Hill – and yes, there’s definitely some uphill walking involved, so pack accordingly – you start to feel like you’re stepping back in time. The apartment sits right in the heart of Old Town’s upper level, which means you’re literally surrounded by medieval walls and those narrow, winding streets that tour groups love but somehow never feel overcrowded early in the morning or late in the evening.

The space itself has this perfect balance of old-world charm and modern comfort that’s actually hard to pull off. I loved how the windows frame views of the lower town’s red-tiled roofs – you can sit there with your morning coffee and watch Tallinn wake up below you. The apartment feels authentically Estonian without being kitschy about it, if that makes sense. There’s real attention to detail in the furnishings and layout, nothing feels like an afterthought. What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night, despite being so central. I guess those thick medieval walls do their job. The kitchen is well-equipped too, which matters when you want to grab some local bread and cheese from the market and have a proper breakfast while planning your day.

Here’s the thing about staying up on Toompea Hill – you’re a five-minute walk from Toompea Castle (the actual government building), Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is practically next door, and those famous viewing platforms overlooking the Baltic are right there. But you’re also close enough to wander down to the lower town’s restaurants and bars without it being a trek. I found myself taking different routes each time, discovering little passages and courtyards I’d missed before. The apartment works especially well if you’re visiting during shoulder season – spring or early fall – when the tourist crowds thin out but the weather’s still pleasant for all that walking. Honestly, staying here made me feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local, which is exactly what you want in a place like Tallinn where the real magic happens when you slow down and pay attention to the details.

  We loved the place. The apartment is spacious, luxurious and very tidy. It has a perfect location with the view of the palace. It has a comfortable bed, big wardrobe with lots of storage space. The sauna in the bathroom is the cherry on top. We felt great in that place and we highly recommend it.

  The location could not have been better, across a quiet courtyard and up two flights of stairs on the second floor. The apartment was super spacious with a well equipped kitchen. A sauna in the bathroom was a surprise, but didn't use it as it was 20oC outside. It will be a boon in a colder time of year.

  Μοντέρνο διαμέρισμα και όμορφα διακοσμημένο! Μεγάλοι ευρύχωροι χώροι και πλήρως εξοπλισμένοι! Η σάουνα ήταν η απόλυτη απόλαυση στο τέλος της ημέρας μετά από το περπάτημα στο χιονισμένο Ταλίν! Το διαμέρισμα είναι στην καλύτερη περιοχή της παλιάς πόλης (toompea hill) και ταυτόχρονα μόλις 6 λεπτά με τα πόδια από την κεντρική πλατεία του δημαρχείου. Ήταν το ιδανικό κατάλυμα ώστε να νιώθουμε σαν στο σπίτι μας τις ημέρες των Χριστουγέννων !!
