First Impressions
Walking up to Three Crowns Residents on Vene Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the right place” feeling. The building sits perfectly in Tallinn’s Old Town — and I mean perfectly, like it was always meant to be there. It’s not trying to be flashy or oversell itself, which honestly feels refreshing after staying at some of the more tourist-trap places around the city. The entrance has this understated charm that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something locals might actually know about.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about the location — it’s not just “good,” it’s genuinely exceptional. You’re literally in the heart of medieval Tallinn, surrounded by cobblestone streets and those fairy-tale buildings everyone comes here to see. What I love is that you can walk to Toompea Castle in about five minutes, but you’re also close enough to the newer parts of the city when you need modern conveniences. The couples who rate this place so highly (apparently 9.6 out of 10) aren’t wrong — there’s something romantic about stepping out your door and being immediately immersed in all that medieval atmosphere.
The Rooms and Comfort
The accommodations at Three Crowns Residents strike that sweet spot between comfortable and characterful. You’re not getting five-star upscale here, but honestly, that’s not what this place is about. The rooms feel thoughtfully designed rather than cookie-cutter, and there’s enough space to actually unpack and settle in for a few days. What impressed me most was how quiet everything stays despite being right in the tourist zone — apparently they’ve figured out how to give you that central location without the constant street noise that usually comes with it.
Morning Fuel
The breakfast setup is one of those continental buffet situations, but they do it well. You’ve got your standard European breakfast fare — good bread, local cheeses, some hot options to keep you going. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s substantial enough that you can fuel up properly before spending the day exploring those steep Old Town streets. I mean, you’ll need the energy for all that uphill walking to the viewing platforms anyway.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
There’s apparently a higher-than-usual number of repeat visitors here, and after staying there, I totally get why. Three Crowns Residents has figured out something that a lot of three-star hotels miss — it’s not about having the fanciest amenities, it’s about getting the fundamentals right in a location that can’t be beat. You’re paying for that incredible Old Town access without the premium prices of the bigger hotels. Plus, there’s something to be said for a place that feels more like a well-run guesthouse than a corporate hotel chain. When you’re exploring a city like Tallinn, sometimes that personal touch makes all the difference in how the whole trip feels.
Hotels in Tallinn offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Baltic jewel, with easy access to museums, medieval towers, and startup districts.

What Our Guests Say
Outstanding experience I recently stayed at this hotel in a double room, and I must say it was an outstanding experience. The location is unbeatable, just a short 5-minute walk from Raekoja plats, making it perfect for exploring the city. The building itself is a charming blend of history and modern comfort, with many authentic elements preserved. The room was well-appointed with modern furniture, a mini refrigerator, and an electric kettle, adding to the convenience.
The breakfast was a highlight—there was an impressive variety of food options, ensuring that even the pickiest eaters would be satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist with anything we needed. A nice touch was the option to have breakfast packed if you needed to leave early—this level of service really made a difference.
