Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name Tanuma Apartment, I wasn’t expecting much from what sounded like just another budget place. But you know what? Sometimes the spots that don’t try too hard to impress you end up being exactly what you need. This 3-star property has this refreshingly no-nonsense vibe that actually works in its favor, and that 9.0 rating? Yeah, I get it now.

The thing about Tanuma Apartment is that it feels more like staying in a really well-managed residential building than a typical hotel – which honestly makes sense given the name. The rooms have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to fake, with proper-sized windows that actually open (you’d be surprised how rare that’s becoming) and decent soundproofing. I mean, you’re not going to get marble bathrooms or fancy turndown service, but the basics are solid and thoughtfully done. The kitchenette setup is particularly clever – they’ve managed to fit everything you actually need without making it feel cramped. I found myself making coffee there every morning instead of hunting down a café, which says something about both the quality of the setup and, well, my laziness.

What really won me over, though, was the staff’s approach. They’re not hovering around trying to upsell you on spa treatments or restaurant reservations, but when you need something, they’re genuinely helpful. The check-in was refreshingly quick – none of that drawn-out welcome presentation some places insist on. And here’s a small thing that mattered more than it should have: the Wi-Fi actually works properly throughout the building, even in the elevator. The location might not scream “luxury district,” but that’s part of what keeps it authentic and reasonably priced. You’re in a real neighborhood where people actually live and work, not some sanitized tourist bubble. Sure, it’s not going to be the place you Instagram every corner of, but if you want somewhere comfortable and reliable without the pretense – somewhere that just lets you get on with your trip instead of making itself the main event – Tanuma Apartment delivers on that promise completely.

Hotel in Tallinn booking should be done early, especially during White Nights season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and technology events.

  We really enjoyed Natalia and Vladimir's home. it is very spacy and cozy and has a great location, proximity to the shops, and a well-stocked kitchen. The house is really warm in December, no issues with that. The grocery shop is only 200m away and it is very convenient when travelling. We used Bolt to get everywhere and it is very cheap (for our family of four this is cheaper than public transport). Natalia and Vladimir are always ready to help and answer any questions you might have, really nice people. When in Tallinn – I would want to stay there again! Thank you Natalia and Vladimir!!!

  Спасибо огромное хазяевам прекрасного дома Наталье и Владимиру. Очень уютно, чисто, комфортно. Когда заходишь в дом очень ощущается приятная, спокойная, домашняя атмосфера. Это тот дом куда хочется вернуться снова.

  Quiet neighborhood, a lot of space, many sleeping places (beds), close to some supermarkets and Tallinn Zoo, free private parking
  
  What could be improved: The flat is quite old fashioned, some beds were with string mattresses, not comfortable, kitchen very small, shower and wc is in separate premises, which is not locked. Payment is only in cash.

  Asunto oli siisti, kodinomainen ja juuri sopiva perheeni tarkoituksiin. Sijainti lähellä Unibet-areenaa ja ulkoilma-museota oli loistava. Kulkeminen Rocca Al Mare-keskuksen suuntaan oli helppoa sähköpotkulaudoilla ja -pyörillä. Asunnon isäntä oli ystävällinen.
  
  What could be improved: Asunto oli viileä saapuessamme, mutta sähköpatterit lämmittivät sen mukavasti.

  Saavuimme majapaikkaan melko myöhään, mutta silti meitä kohdeltiin vieraanvaraisesti. Ulkona oli 27-28+C, mutta sisätilat olivat viileät n. 21-22+C. Tilat olivat viihtyisät ja Talossa oli yölläkin tosi hiljaista, koska päätien autoäänet eivät kuuluneet Tanumalle saakka. Takapiha oli viihtyisä ja auringolta suojainen.
  
  What could be improved: Olen vieraillut viimeisen 30vuoden aikana Eestissä lukuisia kertoja ja näistä kaikista Tanuma22 menee Top5:een.
  En löydä sellaista negatiivista mainittavaa Tanumasta minkä näkisin vaikuttavan seuraavaan vierailuumme kyseisessä paikassa.
