Suur-Karja street runs right through the old town center, so you’re maybe a two-minute walk from Town Hall Square and all those postcard-worthy cobblestone streets, but somehow this place feels tucked away from the crowds. I think it’s because of that “garden” aspect – there’s this lovely courtyard space that creates a buffer from the street noise, which is genius when you consider how sound bounces around those ancient stone buildings. The rooms I stayed in faced this inner courtyard, and honestly, the only sounds I heard were church bells in the distance and the occasional clatter of breakfast dishes in the morning.

What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with the building’s historic character. The rooms aren’t huge – this is old town Tallinn, after all, where medieval merchants didn’t exactly prioritize spacious living – but they’re thoughtfully designed with those thick stone walls that keep things cool in summer and cozy in winter. The staff clearly knows their stuff about the area too; they pointed me toward this little bakery on Pikk street that I never would have found otherwise, and gave me the real scoop on which restaurants are tourist traps versus where locals actually eat. Check-in was smooth, no drama there, and they were flexible about storing my luggage when I arrived early from a morning flight from Helsinki.

I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re the type who wants to experience Tallinn’s old world charm without sacrificing comfort. That 9.6 rating isn’t just hype – the attention to detail really shows, from the quality of the linens to the way they’ve soundproofed the windows. Fair warning though: if you’re planning to visit during White Nights in June or the Christmas market season, book way ahead because places like this in the old town fill up fast. The combination of that prime Suur-Karja location and the actual peace and quiet makes it sort of a rare find in a city where you usually have to choose between convenience and tranquility.

  Bardzo klimatyczne mieszkanie w samym sercu Tallina. Doskonale wyposażenie, bardzo czyste, wygodne łóżka. Prywatny mini ogród ze stolikiem do odpoczynku. Byliśmy pewnie jednymi z pierwszych lokatorów i jesteśmy absolutnie zachwyceni. To prawdziwa perełka na booking, jeśli trafi wam się w rozsądnej cenie to nie wahajcie się ani chwili.   Aivan ihastuttava historiallinen rakennus omalla rauhaisalla sisäpihalla vanhankaupungin ytimessä.Huoneisto hyvin remontoitu,siisti ja varustetasoltaan moderni .Ilmalämpöpumput molemmissa kerroksissa iso plussa näillä helteillä.Sopii hyvin tiloiltaan max neljälle hengelle.Hinta/laatusuhde erinomainen.
