When I first walked in, I was expecting your typical apartment rental – you know, decent but nothing special. Instead, I found myself in what felt more like a friend’s really well-appointed home than a tourist accommodation.

The four bedrooms are actually spacious (not the usual European “cozy” which means tiny), and each one has its own personality without feeling like they were decorated by committee. But here’s what got me – the terrace. I mean, most places in Tallinn’s city center give you a view of the building next door or maybe a glimpse of cobblestones if you’re lucky. This terrace actually lets you breathe, and on clear evenings, you can catch some pretty decent sunset colors reflecting off the medieval rooftops. I spent way more time out there with my morning coffee than I planned to, honestly. The sauna though… that’s where this place really shines. It’s not some cramped afterthought tucked into a closet – it’s a proper Finnish-style sauna that fits four people comfortably. After walking around those cobblestone streets all day (and trust me, your feet will feel every single stone), having your own private sauna feels like absolute luxury.

What I appreciated most was how the place actually works for real life, not just Instagram photos. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook – proper knives, decent pans, even a coffee grinder. The washing machine is full-size, which matters when you’re staying more than a few days. And the Wi-Fi is solid throughout, something I can’t say about half the places I’ve stayed in Tallinn’s older buildings. The location puts you close enough to everything that matters – you can walk to Raekoja plats in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if you stop to look at the medieval architecture – but you’re far enough from the main tourist drag that you won’t hear drunk groups singing at 2 AM. I actually slept really well here, which is saying something because I’m usually sensitive to city noise. The only minor thing is that check-in requires coordinating with the host, so don’t expect a front desk, but they were responsive and made it easy. With a 9.4 rating, clearly other people have figured out what I did – this isn’t just a place to crash, it’s a place that makes you want to stay in Tallinn longer than you originally planned.

  Gorgeous apartment with plenty of space. The apartment is in a great area just around the corner of the main square. We stayed as a party of 6 but it would accommodate many more. The Christmas tree was a great touch too.

  Excellent location. Beautifully furnished. Responsive staff when we initially had difficulty with key.
  
  What could be improved: Minor issues: main floor bath right off living area would benefit from a vent fan, clothes washer leaks when running, main floor shower seal at bottom of glass allows water to run out onto floor. Need more towels – one kitchen towel is not sufficient, no hand towels in baths.
