Here’s what nobody tells you though – the building can be a bit tricky to find at first, especially if you’re arriving after dark. I spent about fifteen minutes wandering around looking for the entrance, feeling like a complete tourist with my suitcase rattling behind me. But once you figure it out, you realize you’re actually in this perfect little pocket where you can walk to pretty much everything. Toompea Hill is right there when you want those Instagram castle shots, and if you need groceries or just want to see how locals actually live, you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble. The 3-star rating feels about right – it’s clean, functional, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable, but don’t expect any fancy amenities or someone to carry your bags up the stairs. What you get instead is that authentic Tallinn experience where you feel like you’re actually living in the city for a few days rather than just passing through it. The 7.5 rating makes sense too – it does what it promises without any major surprises, good or bad.
