Sume by Larsen Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Sume by Larsen on Ehitajate tee, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard building in Haabersti. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this little 3-star gem absolutely did that.
The thing about staying out here is that you’re actually in a really authentic part of Tallinn – none of that touristy Old Town chaos, but still super easy to get into the center when you want to. The tram stop is literally a few minutes’ walk away, and honestly, I kind of loved having that buffer zone where I could decompress after days spent wandering around the medieval streets. Plus, there’s something refreshing about staying where actual Tallinn residents live and work. You’ll see people walking their dogs in the morning, kids heading to school – it feels real, if that makes sense.
What really won me over was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together inside. The rooms aren’t huge (I mean, it’s Estonia, not Texas), but they’ve maximized every inch really cleverly. The beds are actually comfortable – and I’m picky about this stuff – with proper blackout curtains that work. The WiFi is solid throughout the building, which matters if you’re trying to upload photos or catch up on work. I stayed during a pretty busy weekend in summer, and even then the place felt calm and quiet. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure everything was working properly, which you don’t always get at this price point. They helped me figure out the best route to Kadriorg Park without making me feel like an clueless tourist.
Here’s what I really appreciated – the little details that show someone was actually thinking about what travelers need. Good lighting for reading, enough outlets near the bed, a bathroom that doesn’t require contortionist skills to use the shower. The breakfast setup is simple but fresh, with decent coffee (crucial for me) and local options mixed in with the usual continental stuff. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Tallinn’s Old Town, you’ll know is a blessing.
Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll be posting Instagram shots of all day, but that 9.2 rating isn’t an accident. It’s the kind of hotel that just works – everything functions the way it should, the price makes sense, and you’ll sleep well. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring Tallinn rather than hanging around your hotel room, and you want to stay somewhere that feels more like a local neighborhood than a tourist zone, Sume by Larsen hits that sweet spot perfectly. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service – but honestly, with Tallinn’s amazing food scene just a tram ride away, why would you want to eat in your room anyway?

Чисто, тихо, расположение. Вся техника и набор посуды есть в наличии. Приятно было получить при заезде шоколадку. Создалось впечатление, что в апартаментах еще не закончили строительные работы.
What could be improved: В номере не было фена. В ванной комнате нет отопления или сушилки для полотенец и было холодно.Wonderful – Dominik from Poland – August 18, 2025 (9/10)
Bardzo miła obsługa, nowy i bardzo czysty obiekt, prywatny parking częściowo pod dachem. Stosunek ceny do jakości na plus.
What could be improved: Brakowało jakiegoś źródła rozrywki na deszczowe dni, wystarczyłby mały telewizor, bądź głośnik bluetoothKaina atitiko kokybę – Sandrina from Lithuania – August 17, 2025 (9/10)
Draugiškas personalas, susidūrus su nesklandumais greitai išsprendė viską. Radau dovanėlę-šokoladą.Visiškai nauji apartamentai, dažų kvapas. Buvo visi reikalingi buities reikmenys, įmontuota buitinė technika net orkaitė nors yra mikrobangų krosnelė, švari patalynė bei rankšluočiai. Maloni staigmena buvo hamakas viduryje kambario. Yra parkingas ir liftas.
What could be improved: Trūko švaros, ant grindų ir tualeto matėsi statybinių atliekų. Nebuvo plaukų džiovintuvo ir mini kūno bei plaukų priežiūros priemonių, tad nepamirškit pasiimti savo. Taip pat nebuvo TV.Bardzo dobrze jak na tę cenę. – Lisowska from Poland – August 17, 2025 (7/10)

Already a great place to land – Elise from Estonia – August 12, 2025 (10/10)
Stayed at the new Sume building — everything felt fresh and thoughtfully put together. Clean, minimalist, and super comfortable.
There’s still some light work going on in parts of the building, but it didn’t bother me. You can tell it’s going to look even better soon.
Would happily stay again once it’s fully up and running — it’s already a great place to land.perfect for a non-hotel-like stay – René-richard from Estonia – August 11, 2025 (10/10)
The room was cozy, and there’s a big mall closeby.
A great new place to stay at when in Tallinn – superb location and stylish decor! – Brit from Estonia – August 11, 2025 (9/10)
The building is brand new, which means the rooms are also brand new and you could tell that they had put a lot of thought into everything. Stylish furniture, gorgeous views and a great location – there's a huge grocery store right next to the house + the Rocca al Mare shopping centre is at walking distance. Tallinn Zoo is also located right next to it.
What could be improved: The only thing I can "criticize" at the moment is the ongoing construction, but it's understandable and everything was quiet at night, so we didn't mind that too much. The room was also a little tiny, but for a few nights it's not too much of a problem.
