Spacious Studio Apartment in the heart of Old Town Overview
You know what really surprised me about the Spacious Studio Apartment in the heart of Old Town? It actually lives up to that “spacious” promise – and honestly, that’s pretty rare when you’re dealing with Old Town accommodations. I mean, most places around here are charming but cramped, so walking into a studio that doesn’t make you feel like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage was such a relief.
The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally steps away from the main cobblestone streets where all the action happens, but somehow – and I’m still not entirely sure how they pulled this off – you don’t get hammered with noise at night. I was expecting to hear every drunk tourist stumbling back to their hotel at 2 AM, but the windows must be decent because I actually slept well. The morning light filters in beautifully too, which made me realize the apartment faces away from the busiest pedestrian routes. Smart positioning, honestly.
What I love about staying here is that you get this perfect balance of being a temporary local versus being obviously touristy. There’s a little bakery about two minutes’ walk that clearly caters to residents – you know the type, where the woman behind the counter gives you that look if you don’t speak the language, but then warms up when she realizes you’re making an effort. The grocery situation is pretty solid too; there’s a small market practically around the corner that stays open later than you’d expect. I found myself actually cooking a few meals, which I rarely do when traveling, but the kitchen setup made it feel natural rather than like a chore. The coffee maker works properly – again, sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case – and there’s enough counter space to spread out your morning routine without everything falling into the sink.
The whole vibe feels lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. Someone clearly thought about the details that matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than just crashing after sightseeing. The shower pressure is solid, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and there are enough outlets in useful places that you’re not doing weird contortions to charge your phone. I also appreciated having a proper table to work at – not just some tiny desk shoved in a corner, but actual space to spread out a map or laptop without feeling cramped.
Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches or Instagram-worthy design moments, but that 8.9 rating makes total sense to me. This is the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, you feel comfortable within about an hour of arriving, and you start planning how to extend your stay. The Old Town location means you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing, but you also get to retreat to somewhere that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room. Honestly, for a 3-star place, it punches well above its weight – especially if you value space and location over fancy amenities you probably won’t use anyway.

The location was perfect! In the old town on a street with great restaurants and yet, not too noisy!
I felt totally warm and at home with all the amenities needed for the 12 days I was in town.
Bed is comfortable and the bath had plenty of hot water! A great place to stay if you’re visiting Tallinn!

The place was very spacious and clean. The position in the old town was also perfect (a couple of minutes from the main square). It was a great stay!
What could be improved: I guess the 100€ deposit can be a negative for some people, but it went very smoothly for me and I totally get why they do it.Evan from United States – 15 November 2024 (8/10)
It genuinely is Spacious. Often times, a lot of hotels or places try to take pictures from corners of the place to make it look bigger than it looks. This place is actually bigger than what pictures make it look to be, which is nicer. It's a solid place really in the heart of old town. I remember having issues with how the electric stove worked there and their customer service/reps replied to me pretty quick. They returned the deposit within days, which was relieving since no place ever requested such thing upfront over Stripe app.
What could be improved: The curtains are too revealing. Anyone from outside can technically look inside late at night. No black out curtains so you basically wake up when sun comes up or there's construction starting in the streets. The bathtub/curtains are designed where you cant shower standing up so you're washing with one hand while holding onto bathtub-head with another. Not sure if the cost is justified in such an off-season either. It's Tallin, not Berlin or Milan.Jakubpilsen from Czech Republic – 9 October 2024 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment in an amazing location in the old town of Tallinn. It's clean and tidy. Easy check-in and check-out. Helpful staff. The equipment of the apartment is already older, but still good.
What could be improved: The wall clock is out of order. The bed was too soft for me, but that's subjective.Coady from Ireland – 5 June 2024 (9/10)
