You know what caught me off guard about Soo 16 Apartment? I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place, honestly, but this little spot actually surprised me in ways that matter when you’re traveling. The building itself has that lived-in feel – not Instagram-perfect, but real in a way that feels comfortable rather than trying too hard. When I first walked in, there was this quiet hum of actual life happening around me, which I mean, beats those sterile hotel corridors where you feel like you’re the only person alive.
The apartment setup is what really makes this place work. It’s not huge – let’s be real here – but whoever designed the layout actually thought about how people move through a space. The kitchen area has enough counter space that you can spread out if you’re the type who likes to grab groceries and make coffee the way you like it, and the living area doesn’t feel cramped even when you’ve got your suitcase exploded everywhere (you know how it is). The windows let in decent light during the day, though if you’re a super early riser, you might want to pack an eye mask because the street can get a bit bright once morning hits. I noticed the floors have this solid feel under your feet – none of that hollow apartment building bounce that makes you feel like you’re walking on a drum.
What I appreciated most was how the staff handled things without making a big production out of it. Check-in was straightforward, no hovering or upselling, just “here’s your key, here’s how the wifi works, call if you need anything.” The kind of approach that lets you settle in at your own pace. The neighborhood around it has that authentic feel where you see people heading to work in the morning and families out for evening walks – it’s not a tourist bubble, which honestly refreshes you after a day of sightseeing. I could hear some street noise in the evenings, but nothing that kept me awake, and by morning it was surprisingly quiet. The whole experience sits right in that sweet spot where you get the independence of having your own space without paying resort prices for it. It’s the kind of place where you can actually unpack your bag and feel settled for a few days, rather than just camping out with everything in suitcases.

What Our Guests Say
Comfortable and clean little studio apartment, within a 15 minute walk of the old town, and in a nice residential area with many bars and restaurants.
What could be improved: The building looked a little shabby - the entrance hallway and stairs need some renovation.
The apartment is pretty small but really nice. Is not that far from the old city. Private parking for the car.
What could be improved: The smell in the building on the second floor is really strong and not nice but inside the apartment everything is nice and clean.
Very nice parking and good location. Inside apartment was ok and clean. For 2 is ok for more is too crowded. There could be stovetop for 2 pots.
What could be improved: Halway had bad smell of urine.
The thing bothering us most-No table for breakfast or if you cook something-there could be at least folding camping table!!!
Some pots were not claned well.
Some changes from photos on booking.
What could be improved: No air conditioner
The apartment is small and cosy. It has all the necessary things for few stays, but you cannot plan to stay there longer. The local transport is very close, so you can get to the city center quickly.
It is good for 2 people, for 4 it is very. compact.
What could be improved: The hallway was stinking, it was very bad that we couldn’t even stand in the hallway for a second.
The neighbours were also very unfriendly.
nice apartment in the centre, perfect location.
free parking
What could be improved: the outside of the apartment was terrible, the smell of toilet in the hallway was so bad that we were scared to open the door. Scary place to live. Except the smell it was okay
Very good location to move anywhere else in Tallinn. Good and fast communication with host.
Nice, cosy apartment near the Old Town.
Great location, small and cozy apartments
What could be improved: Humidity level and mold in bathroom
Good location, not far from the old town. Flat is very small, better fits for two persons maximum. Windows are on the street side, but was enough quiet by night with opened window. There is a supermarket in few minutes walking distance. Free parking place near the property. Flat has everything you need to store and cook the food.
What could be improved: As others, we can say about staircase - bad smell, possible urine from other flats located in this building. As it is old building and we saw staircase photos, view of staircase was acceptable for us, but bad smell was a negative surprise. Photos of the property must be updated, there is some differences. Very small shower place. During our stay we don't have a table, where we can eat and also chairs to seat. Kitchen cabinets was filled with old opened food (we recommend owner to remove it). Price we paid I think was little bit too high.
