Rotermann Central Apartments
I'll be honest – when I first stumbled across Rotermann Central Apartments, I wasn't expecting much from what looked like just another 3-star place in Tallinn's Old Town area.
I’ll be honest – when I first stumbled across Rotermann Central Apartments, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another 3-star place in Tallinn’s Old Town area. But you know what? Sometimes the unassuming spots end up being the real gems, and this place absolutely nailed that sweet spot between location and value that’s so hard to find in the Baltics.
The thing about staying here is that you’re literally in the heart of Rotermann Quarter – which, if you haven’t been to Tallinn recently, has transformed into this incredible mix of restored industrial buildings and modern design that somehow doesn’t feel forced or touristy. I mean, you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in the Old Town in about ten minutes, but you’re also surrounded by these fantastic local cafes and restaurants that most tourists never find. There’s this little Estonian bakery just around the corner (I think it’s on Roseni street?) where the locals actually go for their morning coffee, and honestly, that’s worth the stay alone. The apartments themselves are surprisingly well-thought-out – not fancy, but everything just works. The kitchenettes are actually functional (rare in European apartment hotels), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the heating… well, you’ll appreciate that if you’re visiting between October and April when Tallinn gets properly cold.
What really won me over was the whole vibe of the place. The building has this industrial-chic thing going on that fits perfectly with the neighborhood’s aesthetic, but without feeling like they’re trying too hard. The staff actually seems to know the area – when I asked about getting to Kadriorg Park, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map but told me about the tram line and mentioned that Tuesday mornings are perfect for visiting because it’s basically empty. That’s the kind of local insight you don’t get at the big chain hotels. Sure, the soundproofing isn’t perfect (you might hear some street noise if you’re facing the main road), and the elevators are a bit slow, but honestly? For an 8.8 rating and the price point, these are pretty minor complaints. The location means you can stumble back from Tallinn’s surprisingly good nightlife scene without worrying about taxis or public transport schedules, and if you’re into that whole digital nomad thing, the common areas have decent workspace vibes. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because – and this rarely happens – I just felt comfortable there. Not pampered or fussed over, just… comfortable, like I’d found a good base camp for exploring a city that has way more layers than most people realize.

Wonderful Very comfy and pretty
Wonderful The location is nice, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Comfortable bed with a loot of pillows. An awesome TV with a lights behind is definitely a highlight. The kitchen also had some spices, tea, and coffee.
I didn't spend much time at the room, but it was a really nice room. The place in itself was really nice - good kitchenette, comfy, clean etc. Nothing to complain about, really. There was no breakfast inclued, but I was aware of that and there was a good supermarket nearby. The new art museum PoCo is also really close.
