You know what caught me off guard about Reval Residences City Center? I was expecting just another generic apartment hotel, but this place actually feels like someone’s carefully curated home that they’re letting you borrow for a few days. The building sits right on Kivisilla street, and honestly, you couldn’t ask for a better spot in Tallinn’s old quarter – I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from Town Hall Square, but tucked away enough that you’re not hearing drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.

The apartments themselves have this Nordic minimalist thing going on, but it’s the kind that actually works, not the sterile IKEA showroom vibe you sometimes get. The kitchens are surprisingly well-equipped (I’m talking real knives, not those useless hotel butter spreaders), and the living spaces have enough room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re camping. What really impressed me was the attention to small details – proper blackout curtains that actually block light, decent water pressure in the showers, and windows that open wide enough to let in that crisp Baltic air. The Wi-Fi is solid too, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely or just want to video call home without pixelated faces.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture – you’re positioned perfectly to experience Tallinn like a local rather than a tourist checking boxes. There’s this fantastic little bakery called Rukis just around the corner where locals grab their morning pastries, and you’re close enough to the medieval walls to take evening walks without the daytime crowds but far enough from Viru street that you avoid the souvenir shop chaos. Parking can be tricky in this part of the city (like most European old towns), but they’ve got arrangements with nearby lots, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t need a car anyway. The 9.2 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s one of those places where everything just works smoothly, from the self-check-in system to the housekeeping that somehow manages to be thorough without being intrusive. Sure, it’s technically a 3-star property, but it punches way above its weight class in terms of comfort and location. I’d definitely book this again, especially for stays longer than a couple nights when you want to feel like you’re actually living in Tallinn rather than just passing through.

Hotel in Tallinn booking should be done early, especially during White Nights season when the city hosts internationally acclaimed cultural and technology events.

  Very cosy, clean and nice rooms. We fitted very well and liked the living room a lot. It's nice that there was also a hanger for wet clothes and an iron to iron clothes.
  
  What could be improved: Tram (that was going by) was a bit loud and nearby construction work noise was disturbing in the morning (couldn't sleep with an open window).
