You know what really struck me about Old Town Apartment, Uus 28? The moment I walked up to the building, I could tell this wasn’t going to be your typical hotel experience – and honestly, that’s exactly what made it special. Located right on Uus street, you’re literally a two-minute stroll from Tallinn’s main Town Hall Square, but somehow the apartment manages to feel tucked away from all the tourist chaos. I mean, during the day you’ll hear the occasional clip-clop of horses from the medieval tour carriages, but it’s more charming than annoying.
The space itself has this wonderful lived-in quality that I’ve come to appreciate in Baltic apartments. The wooden floors creak just slightly (in a good way), and there’s actual character in the details – think exposed beams and windows that frame views of the cobblestone streets below. What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchen, because let’s be honest, eating out for every meal in Tallinn’s Old Town can get expensive fast. Plus, there’s something satisfying about picking up fresh rye bread and Estonian cheese from the little market around the corner and having breakfast while watching the city wake up. The bathroom’s compact but functional – hot water pressure was actually better than I expected, which matters when you’ve been wandering around those medieval streets all day.
The location is honestly what sells this place. You’re close enough to walk to Toompea Castle in about eight minutes, but far enough from the main drag that you won’t be dealing with bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM (though summer weekends can still get a bit lively). I found myself using it as a perfect base camp – morning coffee on the small balcony before heading out to explore, then back for a mid-afternoon break before dinner. The building itself is old school Estonian, so don’t expect a fancy lobby with a concierge, but the self-check-in process was straightforward, and the host was genuinely helpful with restaurant recommendations. One small thing worth noting: if you’re arriving by car, parking in the Old Town can be tricky, but there’s a decent-sized lot about a five-minute walk away. Overall, it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re actually living in Tallinn for a few days rather than just passing through – and at an 8.5 rating, I’d say most people figure that out pretty quickly.

Hyvä sijainti, siisti, tilava ja valoisa huoneisto.
Avainsäilö löytyi helposti, vähän tuotti haastetta kun oli iso sade juuri, kun piti avain vesirännin MasterLockista temppuilla käyttöön.
Asunnon sijainti on mahtava, kävelymatka A-terminaalista ja olet kuitenkin käytännössä Vanhassa kaupungissa.
Paks Margariita ja muut nähtävyydet ihan kulman takana.
Prisma, Rimi, apteekki ja ravintoloita 5min päässä etelään kävellen Kalev Span ohi.
Braavo kylpylä olisi ollut myös takapihalla ja suosittu jätskikahvila alakerrassa.
Rakennuksella on kiinnostava historia liittyen Viron itsenäistymisaikoihin.
Lattialämmitys kylpyhuoneessa, lämmitettävä kuivausteline (heikko seinäkiinnitys), viilentävät ilmalämpöpumput 2kpl toinen makuuhuoneessa toinen eteisessä, keittiössä hyvä varustus, pesukoneet sekä tiskille että vaatteille.
Makuuhuoneen ikkunat länteen ja niissä rullaverhot, joilla sai suhteellisen pimeäksi huoneen.
Ikkunoita sai aukaistua tuuletusta varten.
Makuuhuoneen ikkunat antoivat "sisäpihalle" ja vastapäätä oli naapurin ikkunat muutaman metrin päässä.
Alaovien kolautukset kaikuivat sisäpihalta sisään erityisesti makkariin, varsinkin jos piti ikkunoita auki.
Keittiö-olohuoneen ikkunat antoivat satamaan, olivat korkealla, ei paljoa nähnyt.
Televisioiden kaukosäätimissä ja kanavissa oli häikkää, makuuhuoneessa tv toimi parhaiten.
Kylpyamme siisti ja mahtava lasten kanssa.
Keittiössä oli ainakin kahvia (käsikäyttöinen kahvinkeitin jollaista en ollut ennen käyttänyt) ja mausteita, kylppärissä suihkusaippuaa, pesukoneille aineet. Vaatteille kuivatusteline, eteisessä sateenvarjo jne...
Todella vieraanvaraisesti huolehdittu 😍
What could be improved: Patjat pehmeät ja tyynyt ohuet, en tiedä oliko kuluneet mutta olen tottunut jämäkämpään.
Vuodesohvat kovahkot ja epätasaiset nukkua.
Huoneiston ovi temppuili ensiksi, piti koittaa kääntää moneen suuntaan ja kertaan jolloin oppi tekniikan jolla aukesi. Piti ehkä myös painaa ovea jos oikein muistan.
Kylpyamme oli toimiva, kun itse pesin hiukset istualleen, mutta ihmiselle joka haluaa seistä suihkussa, se olisi ollut hankala, tila ei ollut kovin korkea koska seinä vietti ja suihkuteline oli ammeen "reunalla" ja jännittää seistä liukkaassa ammeessa.
Ei suihkuverhoa joten pitkä ihminen roiskuttaa lattialle vedet suihkutellessaan.

Beautiful spacious apartment in a quiet part of the Old Town. Perfect location, easy check-in and out, comfortable bed, effective air-con, all facilities as listed. Totally recommend and will choose this again!
Продумано было все. От кухни, посудомойки и льда в морозилке, до тапочек, телевизора в ванной, и зонтиков для прогулки. От души рекомендую! Апартаменты превзошли все ожидания!

Appartamento ristrutturato molto bello, pulito, spazioso, accogliente, a due passi dal bellissimo centro storico. Non manca nullla, proprietario molto disponibile, ci ha consentito di fare check-in un'ora prima.

This place is huge. A walk up to the third floor, but when you got there, it was worth the effort. Very well stocked with everything you need, plus a few extras.
Location is very close to old town and the apartment was very nice!
What could be improved: The building doesn’t have an elevator. Youth can manage but I was with my old parents for whom it was difficult.
