Nordic Hotel Forum Overview

I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Nordic Hotel Forum, but this place completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. You know how some hotels try way too hard to be “design-forward” and end up feeling cold? Well, this one actually nails that tricky balance between sleek Scandinavian aesthetics and genuine warmth. The lobby has this incredible natural light thing going on, and honestly, I found myself lingering there way longer than necessary just because it felt so… right.

What really struck me about this place is how they’ve thought about the little things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The rooms – and I mean this – are some of the quietest I’ve experienced in a city center location. I’m talking about that rare kind of silence where you actually forget you’re in the middle of everything. The beds are properly firm (thank god, because I’m getting tired of sinking into marshmallow mattresses), and they’ve got these blackout curtains that actually work. Plus, the shower pressure is phenomenal – I know it sounds mundane, but you know how disappointing hotel showers can be.

The staff here operates on a whole different level too. Check-in was seamless, but more than that, they seem to genuinely know their stuff about the local area. When I asked about dinner recommendations, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic tourist list – he actually asked what I was in the mood for and gave me three spots that felt like real discoveries. One was this tiny place just two blocks away that I never would have found otherwise, and it ended up being one of those meals you remember for months. The breakfast situation is solid too – nothing overly fancy, but they do this amazing local bread that’s apparently from some bakery they partner with nearby, and the coffee is legitimately good, not just hotel-lobby decent. I mean, with a 9.1 rating, you’d expect quality, but sometimes even highly-rated places can feel generic. This one doesn’t – it feels like someone actually cares about creating an experience rather than just checking boxes.

Modern hotel with super location. Peaceful, clean, good beds. Delicious breakfast. Little spa area with the beautiful view to the Old city is always nice to visit. This is our favourite hotel in Tallin.

  • Fabulous hotel! Fabulous location! – Alastair from Guernsey (10/10)

Although we only opted for a standard room, it was really spacious and beautifully decorated. Clever use of the space to incorporate plenty of storage options and really comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with huge walk-in shower. Immaculately clean. Rooms were serviced by the housekeeping team very promptly – they always seemed to manage to get in and clean the room whilst we were down at breakfast and were always finished by the time we returned. It’s really worth going up the pool on the top floor. Lovely facilities up there and fantastic views of the city. Breakfast buffet offered a vast array of options, including omelettes made fresh to order. Fantastic location, with the old Town within an easy ten minute walk and the very modern Roterman district – with lots of funky shops and restaurants – right behind the hotel.
