But after staying there twice now (once for work, once with my partner), I get why it’s earned such a stellar 9.4 rating despite being technically a 3-star place.

The thing that hits you first is how they’ve actually nailed the “modern luxury” part without being pretentious about it. The apartment feels more like staying at a design-savvy friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. The kitchen – and I mean a proper kitchen, not those sad hotel kitchenettes – has this gorgeous marble countertop that catches the light just right in the mornings. I found myself making coffee there every day instead of hunting down cafés, which honestly saved me a fortune. The living space flows really naturally into the sleeping area, and they’ve got these floor-to-ceiling windows that make the whole place feel bigger than it actually is. Smart blackout curtains too, which you’ll appreciate if you’re dealing with jet lag or just like sleeping in.

Location-wise, you’re genuinely in the heart of things without the chaos that usually comes with city center stays. I was surprised how quiet it gets at night – the building seems well-insulated from street noise, though you’ll still hear the occasional late-night reveler on weekends (comes with the territory, really). What I really appreciated was being able to walk to most places instead of dealing with taxis or public transport with luggage. The check-in process is refreshingly straightforward – they send you a code beforehand, no awkward lobby small talk required. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving, but there’s a decent garage about two blocks away that won’t completely destroy your budget. The WiFi actually works properly too, which I mention because you’d be amazed how many places still mess this up in 2024. My only minor gripe is that the shower pressure could be stronger, but that’s me being picky – everything else more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for that sweet spot between hotel convenience and apartment comfort, this place really delivers on its promise.

  The location of the apartment is central, with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as within walking distance to the main sight-seeing areas and port. The host was very friendly and came to meet us to deliver the keys even though it was late at night when we arrived and collected the keys on NYD and to check how we found the stay – Kalle couldn't have done more for us and helped us with directions to the port. The apartment itself is very spacious and was lovely and warm despite the cold weather outside. We didn't use the kitchen facilities much, but there were plenty of utensils and kitchenware if needed.

  Very nice and comfortable apartment in a great location surrounded by restaurants, cafes, bars, shops, cinema etc. Slept there very well, which is super important.

  Everything is amazing! Attention to details, cosy yet practical set up of the space, comfortable bed and sofa, all decorated nicely, fully stocked kitchen. I loved it and I will be back for sure!
  
  What could be improved: A few hooks in a bathroom would be useful to hang clothes.
  A few extra large pans would also be great.

  We spent three amazing nights in the apartment and so much happy that we had chosen this place!
  There were everything for living. The bed, pillows and bedroom itself were so much comfortable and I had a perfect sleep there. Also we really liked the location – the district is new, modern and beautiful, there were a lot of cafes and shops, 5-7 min by foot to the old center.
  The host is awesome! Kalle is so much responsive, friendly, hospitable and nice person! On arrival I realized that had forgot my bag at the bus station and he immediatly suggested taking us there by his own car and was helping to find it! Thank you one more time for having us and for you help!

  Very beautiful accommodation in an excellent location. Everything necessary for life is provided, there is full comfort. The apartment is charming and spacious. The furniture is comfortable, modern. Basic items for preparing meals are also available (tea, coffee, sugar, salt, spices, oil for frying). All appliances worked (I didn't use the washing machine).
  
  What could be improved: This is not a "dislike", rather a suggestion of things that were missing: a microwave would be very helpful. The description mentioned bathrobes, but I couldn't find them. You also have to be careful with the kitchen furniture – you can touch it with clean hands, otherwise there will be stains.

  Excellent location and good value for money. Although the property is in a lively area, the apartment itself is quiet and has everything needed for a slightly longer stay – things like a washing machine, dishwasher, plenty of shops nearby etc. The host arrived promptly to hand over the keys and made checking in quick and easy. Would definitely book again.
