Location-wise, you’re basically in the heart of everything without being right on top of the main tourist crush. I could walk to Raekoja plats (Town Hall Square) in maybe three minutes, but the immediate street was quiet enough that I could sleep with the windows cracked open – which, trust me, you’ll want to do because these old buildings can get stuffy. The only real downside? Well, there’s no elevator, obviously, and if you’re here during White Nights season, you might find yourself staying out way too late just because everything feels so magical and walkable. Also, just a heads up – the shower is one of those European-style setups where you really need to pay attention to the curtain situation, but the water pressure is surprisingly solid for a building this old. What really sold me on the place was finding fresh pastries from a local bakery waiting when I arrived – not some corporate welcome basket, but actual still-warm pastries from somewhere nearby that I ended up going back to every morning. That’s the kind of touch that tells you someone who actually lives here set this place up.
