M/S Factory Apartments

You know what surprised me most about M/S Factory Apartments? The moment you walk in, you can still feel this place’s industrial DNA – and I mean that in the best possible way. The exposed brick and high ceilings aren’t just design choices here, they’re authentic remnants from when this was actually a working factory. There’s something pretty cool about sleeping where people once crafted things with their hands.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, honestly. I’ve stayed in plenty of 3-star places that feel cramped, but these units breathe. The kitchen setup is what really won me over though – it’s not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation. You can actually cook here, which saved me a fortune during my week-long stay. The bathroom fixtures feel modern without being sterile, and the windows are these huge industrial-style panes that let in tons of natural light. Fair warning though: if you’re a light sleeper, pack earplugs. The character of this building means you’ll hear your neighbors a bit more than you would in a newer place, but it’s not terrible.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely care about the place – you can tell when people take pride in where they work. Check-in was smooth, and when my Wi-Fi was acting up (which happens everywhere, let’s be honest), they had it sorted within the hour. The 9.4 rating makes total sense to me because while this isn’t luxury, it delivers exactly what it promises. The location grows on you too – it’s one of those neighborhoods where you discover a great coffee shop or little restaurant just by wandering around. I actually extended my stay by two nights because I wasn’t ready to leave. For the price point, you’re getting way more character and space than you’d find in a standard hotel, plus that rare thing in travel: a place that feels genuine rather than manufactured for tourists.
