First Impressions
Walking into Luxury Suites – Rotermann by Rikas Hotels feels like stepping into one of those perfectly curated design magazines — you know, the kind where everything looks effortlessly stylish but probably costs a fortune. The lobby has this sleek, modern Estonian aesthetic that somehow manages to feel both sophisticated and welcoming. I mean, it’s not trying too hard to impress you, which honestly makes it more impressive. The attention to detail throughout the property reflects a commitment to contemporary design that respects the building’s historical significance.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s the thing about staying in Tallinn‘s city center — you’re literally in the middle of everything that matters. The Rotermann Quarter is this fascinating blend of old industrial buildings turned into trendy shops and cafes, and you can walk to Old Town in about five minutes. Actually, couples seem to absolutely love this spot (they rate the location 9.3, which is pretty telling), and I get why. You’ve got cobblestone streets one way, modern restaurants the other, and the harbor just beyond that. It’s like having the best of three different cities rolled into one neighborhood. The pedestrian-friendly streets make exploring the area a genuine pleasure.
The Suites
The room — well, suite really — is where this four-star property really shows its personality. These aren’t your typical hotel boxes; they’re more like temporary apartments with actual character. The kitchen setup is surprisingly functional (not just for show), and the living areas have enough space that you don’t feel like you’re camping out in someone’s closet. The design leans heavily into that Nordic minimalism thing, but with enough warmth that it doesn’t feel cold or sterile. Each suite is thoughtfully appointed with quality furnishings and modern conveniences.
Dining & Amenities
There’s no on-site restaurant, but honestly? In this neighborhood, that’s not really a problem. You’re surrounded by some of Tallinn’s best dining options — from traditional Estonian spots to modern Nordic cuisine that’ll make you question everything you thought you knew about Baltic food. The hotel does have a decent breakfast setup, and the staff actually knows the area well enough to point you toward places the guidebooks haven’t discovered yet. The spa facilities are compact but well-designed, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring those medieval streets. Guest parking is available nearby for those traveling by car.
Why Guests Love It
Look, with a location score of 9.5, this place clearly knows what it’s doing. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere special without the pretentious attitude that sometimes comes with boutique properties. The Rotermann Quarter gives you this authentic slice of modern Estonian life, while keeping you close enough to the tourist highlights that you’re not spending half your day in transit. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying in a building that’s been thoughtfully converted from its industrial past — it feels like you’re part of Tallinn’s ongoing story rather than just passing through it. The combination of historic character and contemporary comfort makes this property a standout choice.

Very Good Good location!
Great location for shorter trip to Tallinn Good location. Basic
What could be improved: The spare bed is not actually bed but a sofa. Its ok
Okay stay for one night in a rotermani district Great location, New building, good for one night stay
What could be improved: Shower had some rust and didn’t look very clean/pleasant. There were too strong perfume in the apartment. No bottle opener.
Very Good Very good choice for a short visit to Tallinn. Clean and smart.
No doubt to stay again here. Highly recommended Location was perfect for us. It is very close to old city and also the shopping malls if needed. The flat was clean, modern, beds were comfortable. equipments we needed in the kitchen were available. There was no luggage room to drop them before check-in i, but they provided an opportunity to drop them in a hotel nearby.
Central Tallin Apartment Location was great, close to ferry, old town and the area had lots of nitelife. Good kitchen stuff and plenty of room. They provided detailed info to get the key near the apartment
What could be improved: No towel rack in the bathroom, and couldn't find where to take trash.
We are overall satisfied with our stay 🙌🏻 The Staff that is always there when u need something 🙌🏻
The Location👌 Close to everything 🙌🏻
Cleanliness👌
What could be improved: Juz a very minor thing 🙈
- no hooks to hang towels🫣
- no bedside table 🙃
The tricky instructions to get the key 🙈 Supposed to be : At the back of the hotel. The entrance with the sign Roseni 9 Roseni Residentsid. Juz infront of that entrance has a building with the stairs made up of steel & that is where u could find the Keybox (with Roseni 9 mark) . Hope it helps🙈 But overall we were happy coz they let us also to check in 1hr earlier than check in time 💫
Wonderful Excellent place, near to Old town. The flat interior was nice. Communication with host - great.
Very Good Location cannot be beaten - the apartment js right in the heart of Rotermanni Kvartal, within walking distance of the Old Town. Easily accessible by public transport to / from the airport and coach station. The apartment itself is in a new building, quite clean and comfortable enough for one person or a couple. It has got most of the necessary amenities (microwave, kettle, iron).
What could be improved: 1. Finding the entrance to the residential part of the building was a bit tricky - the instructions could have been clearer as there is also a hotel in the same building.
2. Fetching the keys from the locket hanging outside was an absolute nightmare. It was almost midnight when I arrived and -15 degrees outside (feeling more like -20) and it felt like my fingers were going to freeze and fall off while trying to put in the code and open the locket. This may work when the weather is not severe but I'd think about coming up with an alternative for the winter.
3. Unresponsive host - firstly I wad given incorrect wifi login data. I sent a message to Anastasya on Sat morning and did not get any reply for an entire day. She did apologise the following day, saying she had a day off. Well, lucky it was not an emergency. And I figured out the Internet in the meantime on my own.
4. The TV is surprisingly old for a relatively brand new apartment. It offers local and some international channels. There is no Netflix or other apps, you cannot even mirror the screen from your phone or laptop. The only hdmi port is taken by the local tv box.
5. Very limited number of utensils and cheap, low quality towels in the bathroom.
6. Very very soft mattress
7. Bedside table would be welcome.
perfect location
What could be improved: parking a bit away,
