It actually lives up to that bold name – and I’m usually pretty skeptical of places that call themselves “luxury” right off the bat. But this penthouse sits right in the heart of Old Town’s cobblestone maze, and when you step out onto that terrace… well, you’re looking out over those medieval rooftops that tourists spend hours trying to photograph from street level.

The sauna is what really got me though – it’s this perfectly sized Finnish-style setup tucked into what I’m guessing used to be a storage room. After spending the day wandering around those narrow streets (which are gorgeous but honestly murder on your feet), sinking into that dry heat was exactly what I needed. The whole place has this interesting mix going on where you’ve got these gorgeous old architectural details – exposed beams, original stonework – but everything’s been updated thoughtfully. The kitchen actually works for more than just heating up leftovers, and there’s proper water pressure in the shower, which… if you’ve stayed in Old Town before, you know that’s not always a given.

What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re literally in the middle of everything. During the day you’ll hear the tour groups and street musicians drifting up from below, but once evening hits, it’s surprisingly peaceful up there. The terrace becomes this perfect spot for morning coffee or evening wine – I spent way more time out there than I planned to, just watching the light change on those ancient rooftops. Parking was actually manageable too, which is rare for this area. The host had solid recommendations for a nearby garage, and check-in was smooth despite the tricky Old Town navigation (pro tip: don’t trust your GPS completely once you get into those narrow streets). At 9.5 stars, it’s definitely earned its reputation, and honestly, staying here beats any hotel for getting that authentic Old Town experience without sacrificing comfort.

  Vermieterin war jederzeit über Mail erreichbar und offen für Fragen. Konnten Fahrräder im Hausflur abstellen.
  Die große Terrasse unterhalb der Mauer zur Oberstadt ist traumhaft.
  Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war sehr gut, alles funktionierte. Das Bad und Sauna sind luftig und groß, genügend Abstellfläche.
